PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A man was shot to death in a dispute that began at a dance contest when his teenage stepson hit another boy while performing flailing dance moves, police said.
Donald Clyburn, 41, was shot in the head near his home in the city's Kensington neighborhood.
Police issued a warrant for the mother of the boy who was hit in the contest. Patricia Hayward, 39, was wanted on murder charges.
The dispute started when Clyburn's stepson, Alex Ledino, struck another boy with his elbow on Nov. 15 during an impromptu neighborhood contest, the Philadelphia Daily News reported. Ledino said that it was an accident and that he apologized.
Hayward then went to the Clyburn home, got into an argument and shot Clyburn, witnesses said.
Is this one of those "high risk for tornadic activity" neighborhoods?
Ghetto version of an honor killing?

Yeah, we do that at work a lot. </s>
At WORK - unlike these jobless degenerates.
You've been served.
Now it's 'on'!
Sorry not even close. I can understand almost every word.
Actually, I'm sorry that I posted that.
You are linking ebonics with black people?
Racist.
Time for some dance-control laws.
I think I remember this theme on a Norman Rockwell Life cover. Just a simple, decent, folksy depiction of Americans at play.
Yes, the impromptu neighborhood dance contest...
And the media just reports this like it's normal, with no questions about why they weren't at jobs, or looking for jobs.
Yes.
There's an old joke around here that goes like this:
"What has four arms, four legs, and eleven teeth?"
Answer: "Two girls from Kensington."
I don't know about the race of the people involved in this story, but Kensington is actually a mostly poor white neighborhood, with a lot of Hispanic blocks as well. The surrounding neighborhoods of Fishtown, Bridesburg, and Northern Liberties are mostly white.
Of course, the local realtors have helped to change neighborhood boundaries to some extent as reputations evolve. Fishtown is now a lot bigger than it used to be and Kensington is shrinking. (By the way, Kensington is also the location of the notorious Philadelphia "badlands".)
That dude got served bigtime.
