Another tidbit of info at the bottom of the page:

"Anonymous by request - Wizards of Winter - Jingle Bells - This person has about 16,000 lights, 88 LightORama channels. The Mega tree has 48,500, and the triangle in the middle is made up of 22 mini-trees, with 300 lights each, or 6300 total. (You may have seen this video floating around on the Internet in November 2005. I can assure you that it's real, and computer control was used to create all of the effects you see here. It is not a fake.)"

It takes forever to load

You got that right! I went out and put up my Christmas lights, and when I got back in, the thing was still loading. But it finally came through. The server must be a TRS-80.

Here's the LightORama webpage. (Crappy barebones website.)

http://store.lightorama.com/

It looks pretty simple electrically. Hardest part is putting up the lights and synching the tune.

Didn't anyone notice the prominently displayed "peace" symbol?

This guy might be pro-Christmas, but not necessarily a Conservative.

I saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas show a couple of weeks ago - it was the first show of their annual tour. I can't recommend it highly enough. Their use of lighting, lasers and other special effects was indescribably amazing - and the music was tremendous.

They're presently touring most major venues in the US.

Whatever.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14

36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. Luke 24

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5

Don't forget what Christmas is all about. Christ preached peace, and in the season that is dedicated to His memory, promoting His teachings of peace is quite appropriate. Anyone who opposes peace opposes Jesus, and their eternal fate will not be a pleasant one.

Anyone who does not go to war with grief in their hearts at the thought of doing so is not Christian, because they obviously are unfamiliar with the Word of God. That is not to say that war isn't justified, or that war isn't sometimes the right course of action, but it is peace that God wants for His children.

Of course, if you're going to claim that Christian messages aren't appropriate during a celebration for Christ because we're "at war", we have a completely different argument on our hands. To that I would merely reply that my belief in God is more important than my belief in country, and if asked to make the choice, God wins. Christianity is defined within the covers of the Bible, and no political situation in any one nation should ever be permitted to alter the teachings or beliefs of those who profess to be Christian. As a Christian, I'm insulted that so many here would slander a symbol of Christ's teachings simply because they don't fit with their current political views.

Yes, there is a peace symbol in my yard (I started putting up decorations last weekend). No, I'm not a libbie. I just have my perspective correct...God comes first, Country comes second, Family comes third. Too many people forget that.

Great find, thanks. That is one extraordinary piece of work, very well done. Of course, I am sure the neighbors might not think so if the music is that loud.

Here's the redneck version.
Seeing as how you are up North, it might make you homesick. ;o)

Thanks SouthernBoy. I don't know if that was real or not but I sure enjoyed it. I wish I could get one of those for my house.

I prefer not to carry the same "peace" banner as those who advocate soldiers turning their guns on their superiors.
