NOVEMBER 22--In a sweetheart plea deal, a former Florida middle school teacher who had sex with a 14-year-old male student escaped a jail term today. Debra Lafave, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior and was sentenced to three years of community control, or house arrest, and ordered to register as a sex offender. Lafave's plea came on the eve of trial and was approved by the teen victim and his family (in a court affidavit filed today, the boy's mother wrote that a trial would "negatively affect my son's emotional and psychological well-being"). Lafave, who will serve seven years probation following her house arrest term, was facing a maximum of 30 years in prison. A probable cause affidavit prepared by the Marion County Sheriff's Office details the predatory behavior (in her classroom, an Isuzu SUV, and her Tampa-area home) of Lafave, who is pictured below in police booking photos. A supplemental report from the Temple Terrace Police Department (which you can find here) included the boy's graphic account of his trysts last year with Lafave. "With about a week left in school she became affectionate," he told cops. (15 pages)
I don't know why people keep trying to make men and women the same. They aren't! Period!! Their bodies, minds, sex drives, everything is different.
BTW This kid should be charged in the court of stupidity for ruining a good thing. ;)

Lol, I've seen that show! Another good example would be the recent thread with Hillary and Oprah together. Someone posted a pic of her the same morning before getting all dolled up for the evening. What a hag! In the pic with Oprah, she looks almost human. Yep, makeup can do miracles!
Ive even read that the Donalds new bride said she would never be seen in public without her makeup. Gee, I wonder why? Maybe she's a maggot gagger without it too! Lol!
I think men put way too much importance on looks.
Maybe it's because women are more sensible and smart. We tend to think with our brains, not what's in our pants. Get a clue, guys! :)
There is a checklist when you are 14, iirc:
Is she female? Yep
Developed? Yep.
Breathing? Yep
Willing? Yep.
SHe's HOT!
Raging hormones render mature judgement difficult, if not impossible.
Too bad she isn't as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside.
Let's hope the cross necklace means she has repented, and will change her ways. It reminds of Madonna, and the like, living for the Devil and draping themselves in religious emblems.
Because a lot of guys are only interested in sex and women like her appear to be easy.

Neither will I. I guess it is because I was raised to believe sex isn't something to engage in just for recreation but as part of a loving relationship (IMHO, marriage).

It's NOT recreation or selfish gratitude, it's meant to be part of a loving relationship i.e marriage. THAT's what makes it so wonderful.

Exactly. They're physically different, with different physical consequences for being sexually active...but this has a huge pyschological effect in a barely teenage boy. He's getting screwed mentally too.
If you assert that the primary effect is physical, you're right...but I don't agree.

Yeah, she is hot. It is hilarious how people on FR want to send her to prison, not to mention the fugly lesbo prosecutors. If I had her at 14 it would be a memory to treasure my whole life. This female-teacher-as-evil-predator is absurd. The only "victims" are the woman's family, if she has one (as with Mary Kay's poor husband and kids).

Ok how's this for a clue:
The long-term consequences for men not thinking with their brains, are not as detremental as the consequences for women not thinking with their brains. Therefore evolution has selected out (largely by reducing the relative capacity of women to enjoy sex for sex's sake) most women who do not think with their brains. Only a precious few remain, like Debra. Debra enjoy's sex, for its thrill's absolute value.
Women who think with their brains find Debra threatening, in the way that a retail store owner finds a newly opening nearby Wal-Mart threatening, money being analogous to commitment, and merchandise being analogous to the goods.
But women who use their brains shouldn't worry, because men interested in Debra, (now that she's shown her true colors) are not interested in spending their "commitment" on her.
That makes a lot more sense to me than some of the posts here!
I think I'm beginning to "get" it now. I don't agree with the with the having sex for thrills sake, but I do think I understand the male point of view a bit better. Thank you for your insight!
