Congressman Murtha’s On-Line Survey

Please indicate which of the following best summarizes your view on what the United States should do in Iraq:

We should immediately remove all troops.

We should redeploy to the periphery of Iraq as soon as practical to protect troop safety and give the Iraqis incentive to take charge sooner, not later.

We should maintain current troop levels until Iraq builds an army to defend and stabilize their country, even if that takes years.

We should re-institute the national draft to increase troop levels to where we can seal the Iraqi borders and stop the passage of insurgents and insurgent-supply missions.

I voted ~ We're way ahead. I bet even in a fair poll that answer C would get 60%. If we went with answer B and enacted it, the Dems wouldn't let us go back in no matter what was happening in Iraq.

Issue # Votes %
A We should immediately remove all troops. 292 10.1
B We should redeploy to the periphery of Iraq as soon as practical to protect troop safety and give the Iraqis incentive to take charge sooner, not later. 601 20.8
C We should maintain current troop levels until Iraq builds an army to defend and stabilize their country, even if that takes years. 1888 65.2
D We should re-institute the national draft to increase troop levels to where we can seal the Iraqi borders and stop the passage of insurgents and insurgent-supply missions. 113 3.9
Total 2894

"The fact that "We should immediately remove all troops" is the FIRST option on the poll speaks volumes about what he REALLY wants."

Yes, that and adding this to the end of option C shows the bias; "even if that takes years." ..So I went ahead and voted X number of times for option c.

No doubt about it. It's what I really believe. Murtha put this up to try and prove there is support for his position. He is waaayyy wrong. There is not.

As with most things Democrat, nothing seems to work. His site will not accept e-mail comments from anyone with a zip code outside his district nor will it confirm a vote. His washington voice number (from his site) picks up and sounds liike a fax number. The number at his office in PA, rings and rings and is not picked up within a reasonable time.
