I believe he is trying to say that the Mullahs, Imams, and Sheiks use religion for their political objectives of power and money. They use religion to manipulate others but they don't sacrifice themselves or their children in Jihad.

So while the Jihadists believe it is for the sake of Allah, the religious leaders are using religion to pull their strings.

Islam is a political system. That is why it is so dangerous. It infects all parts of life with the rule of Sharia

Ah, but there is the rub. NO LEADER has blown himself up, they cynically use the followers for their quest for money and power. If it was true religious belief, you would see the leaders leading the way, not sending out others to their "glorious" deaths. The religious leaders know that it is all bullshirt, and their actions prove it.

One must keep focus here, Islam is a propaganda tool for the Empire of Islam, it is not a religion and never has been.
