Mary Mapes website for her book Truth and Duty has a page labelled DOCUMENTS. On this page she has her famous "meshing" defense for proof that the memos were accurate. On November 16 she added 12 additional documents she got from the Texas National Guard Headquarters. Unwittingly, she posted documents that actually DISproved many of her arguments.
Some of the documents were letters to the Guard Headquarters asking preferential treatment for the sons of important people, but the letters were actually refusals by the Guard commanders to these requests.
They were only up for a day before someone at Mary's site realized what they had done and pulled them down.
By chance, did anyone get a chance to download them before they were pulled so that we can re-post them here?
Mary Mapes running a web site is like V.I. Lenin running a 7-11.
Mary had a little scam
She fleeced dont you know
And everywhere that Mary goes
Shell fleece us all somoa
Mapes: Those new documents may have been fake but they were accurate!!! I know because I stayed up all night creating them on my computer.

[These people are unbelievable. Even when their lies are PROVED to be lies, they maintain those lie are true.]
bump for publicity
Too bougiois -- Maybe a Starbucks -- revoution comes From a Vente!
"How about a Slurpy, You running-dog!"
Mary Mapes is soft as grapes.
LOL--you're right, her stuff is all "doody!"
I actually picture Mapes running two businesses--a dry cleaners next to a used clothing thrift store.
Please remember that this is the witch that got the Abu Ghraib photos and ran them on 60 Minutes.
She is a worse traitor to this nation than Jane Fonda.
Being a liar is small potatoes for her.
"Mary Mapes running a web site is like V.I. Lenin running a 7-11."
Lenin was Pakistani?
Who would buy her book excepting for illiterate Clintonites?
what is really funny is that the ONLY "documents" -- including those purportedly from Killian's office -- with proportional spacing and superscript are the "original" faked documents that were on CBS's web site when the first "reported" the story.
Ping
another bump for publicity...
That smart? You give her too much credit methinks.
I would say she's not half as smart as a whole truck load of rocks.
Imagine what could have been accomplished in the plot to get Bush if this woman had not been an airhead.
