English is a really hard language with a lot of confusing rules. So when you take my class, you dont have to follow rules at all. I do not try to bring you up to a higher standard. Instead, I am committed to lowering myself to your standards even to semi-literacy, if necessary. That way, we can all avoid judgments and keep everyones self-esteem intact. And, best of all, when I am not teaching English I have plenty of time to talk about my political views. LOL! This admin should fire this 'professor' if only out of the embarassment caused by that ungrammatical semi-illiterate e-mail!

Yes and competent English teacher teach those rules so that their students are competent to communicate in society and compete with others for jobs.
Sorry, I now see that he aspires to not be judgmental and that would be judgmental to use someone ability to read and write English as a measure when looking for an employee. Maybe this is why liberals debating on FOX often resort to never ending nonsensical sentences that are shouted out.
I wonder what qualification you need to be an English professor? Ability to breath?

Oops gramatical error alert. Second paragraph should read "Yes and competent English teachers teach those rules so that their students are competent to communicate in society and compete with others for jobs."

I assume this "professor" is too stupid to use spell check. I guess it explains his stupidity in general.

Daly is your typical effete Eastern liberal wannabe. Try as he might his academic background will not allow him to break into the Brown and Dartmouth crowd. So continue to beat upon the Community College kids, you hoser?

English is such a hard language that it's the dominant language on Earth - dominant in the sense that it is the language used most often when people of different languages need to communicate.
Rudolph Flesch proved that English is 87% regular phonetically; only 13% of all words don't follow standard rules, and many of them are imports from other languages.
So, for a 13% irregularity, the good professor and his ilk are determined to throw out the rules for the other 87%. Yep, sounds like a liberal to me. Minority rules...

I do not try to bring you up to a higher standard. If he did bring them up to his standard, it would still not be very high.
