The Cut and Run Party would endanger our national security. Like with Vietnam, they believe we have no business defending our nation in a place thousands of miles from these shores from a murderous Al Qaeda terrorist named Musab Abu Al Zarqawi. They'd rather see Iraq plunged into a bloodbath and civil war and see its people slaughtered than stand at their side to help their emerging democracy grow and survive so it can defend itself from our common enemy. Like Joseph Farah, I confess I don't understand either why 25% of Americans believe Iraq was better off under a psychopath monster named Saddam Hussein - who was the Stalin of the Middle East and past century's worst mass murderer of his own people and who the Democrats conveniently now forget was a threat to the peace and safety of the world. Make no mistake: if the Cut and Run Party should prevail and force us to run from Iraq before our mission there is accomplished, we will witness terror on a scale that will make September 11, 2001, seem like a footnote in history. The stakes have never been higher.

The similarity between the wars in Vietnam and Iraq are that the same Democrats (and communists) who led the protests against the former are leading the charge against the later.

The Iraq war is over. Saddam is deposed. The transition government is in place. We continue to fight the War On Terror in Iraq. We "could" pull out and let the country slide (or at the very least, give the terrorists a victory over "the Great Satan").

There is no insurgency any more than the KKK in the reconstruction South were a viable alternative to the Yankee occupiers. Should the government have retreated when the KKK was still killing government officials in the 1960s?

Not only did Iraq have weapons of mass destruction, we captured some of them and brought them home to the United States. Why the Bush administration has not made a better case of articulating the overwhelming facts on these matters, I do not pretend to understand. ---

I don't understand either why Americans aren't calling for victory over the enemy. Instead many of our countrymen, like Jihad Cindy are consumed with their own comfort first. We can't beat Al Qaeda. After all that happened four years ago, do we really want to be a pitiful giant, helpless in the face of car bombs and homocide bombers exploding on our streets? That is what we will get if we decide to thrown in the towel.

Why the Bush administration has not made a better case of articulating the overwhelming facts on these matters, I do not pretend to understand.

If I was to guess .. because he's been burned by certain members in our Intel agencies who are working against our country .. and he can't rely solely on their information??

He needs to build a hard case evidence before he announces all that has been found

The facts are clearly. I am amazed people think that Saddam didn't have any evil designs on any one. What do they think we did when we kept our troops for over a decade in Saudi Arabia and imposed no-fly zones over most of his country if we didn't perceive him as a mortal threat? Make no mistake, Saddam may not have had nuclear weapons but that's only because we removed him from power. There is not a shadow of a doubt, left to his own devices, he would have obtained them eventually and either used them against us or given them over to terrorist groups to use against us. We're a lot safer today because President Bush acted decisively to eliminate that threat to our country. Its existence was not in dispute. It is beyond me why people have decided not to see the truth in front of their own eyes.

Every one knows the truth. Saddam is the fellow who murdered his way to power, committed genocide on the Kurds and Shiites, launched wars on neighboring countries and cooperated with every terrorist group on the planet. And he had ambitions to make Iraq a nuclear power. Its all there - if you care to look for it.

The networks and the media have instituted an embargo on replaying the attacks on the World Trade Towers, and the collapse of the buildings killing 3000 in a heartbeat.

Maybe we should mandate that the replay those images once a day in prime time to get people's heads screwed on straight again as to what we are doing to avoid a repeat.
