In Washington, a U.S. official said the identities of the terror suspects killed was unknown. Asked if they could include al-Zarqawi, the official replied: "There are efforts under way to determine if he was killed."

That's a little red flag, now isn't it? They clearly thought he MAY have been there, or they wouldn't be checking into it.

One question. If Zarqawi is dead, then who would the democrats have us surrender to???

I guess Zarqawi shouldn't have threatened the life of Jordan's King.

"...some by their own hand to avoid capture."

We can kill 'em, or they can kill themselves. Makes no difference to me.

If this is true, and I sure hope it finally is, I'm going to set off fireworks or something to celebrate. I'll at least have a beer and make a toast to our brave soldiers, that's for darn sure! :)

To Kill Zarqawi would be great, to kill him the same week the democrats almost surrendered would be priceless!

Three insurgents detonated explosives and killed themselves to avoid capture, Iraqi officials said. Eleven Americans were wounded, the U.S. military said.

This is the point in the story where the writer starts repeating himself and then just writes filler about Iraq.

What iritates me about the story, is how the reporter has to mix in unrelated coalition casualties, starting with the second paragraph.

Praying that A-Z is with his 72 raisins, or Virginians, or Helen Thomases, or whatever!

In any case, some terrorist nutcases bit the dust.

I don't care if it's been posted before. PRINT IT AGAIN. AGAIN AGAIN. And then PRINT IT.

COOK IN HELL ZARQAWI. God, I hope you're in that rubble somewhere.

Interesting that they didn't mention denials from Jihadist websites.
