Two separate reports, one from my Dad and one from a friend... both at Tacoma Mall. Not being allowed inside, due to "someone inside with a semiautomatic shooting in the mall".
Large number of police on the scene, sealing the exits. Not letting anyone in or out.
Will post a source as soon as I have one.
The disturbing thing is , is that the Shooter told Sam Goody Employees to call home to tell them they love them, .....that ain't good
There's a police station RIGHT THERE next to Bon Macys.
You were that close and you didn't drop by to see us????
Holy smokes!
I'm glad your dad and friend weren't in the mall at the time.
Prayers up for those still trapped and I'll even throw an extra prayer in there for the shooter. I pray he gives up peacefully and all lives are spared.
The Tacoma aroma! We lived in Redmond several years ago and looked at investment properties on the Hilltop area. After witnessing several gang members and experiencing the vile odor, I'll never forget my wife's take on the situation-"GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"
Not a single thing on local tv... figures...
Is this gang stuff? Sounds more like a disgruntled ex employee or something...
FOX reporting 1 critical injury....so far.
Glad it wasn't you or your wife.
NWCN is all over this, do you have cable?
Nope. Just regular. I'm gone alot, so I can't see paying for cable.
Hey there... they weren't at any risk. Dad and D are home now. D's daughter in law was the other one that was there. They'd just gotten there and were about to go in when people came streaming out and somebody told them about it. They just got stuck in the traffic mess that resulted for blocks around.
We live in the Olympia, Wa area...have not been to the Tacoma Mall in years(I just dont like those big gigantic malls)...but whenever we go into Tacoma for other reasons, or drive by Tacoma on the freeway, the first thing that hits us is the incredible awful smell...I dont know exactly why it smells so bad when one is just getting into Tacoma...someone once told me it has something to do with paper mills or such...I just dont know tho...it just smells bad...
One thing I'll say good about Tacoma is that they really did fix the aroma. The smelters are all but shut down and it doesn't stink anymore!
I'm so glad they didn't get there earlier. Better to be stuck in that awful traffic, than to be stuck in the mall with the looney.
Pulp mills.
I have a can the size of a tuna can, and old joke, labelled "The Aroma of Tacoma"
Don't know who put it out, think I bought it as a gag at the swap meet years ago.
You're talking about retired Capt WalT copeland and Chief Dave Brame, in that order.
