We were all over Murtha's comments about whether he was speaking about our troops or the Iraqui's in his "troops are the enemy" statement.

According to the Washington Times, he also believes the US forces are an occupying force. This guy is a hack and a loon on all fronts. I am so pleased to see the GOP standing up to the media fabricated image of this nutball and discrediting him immediately.

Does anyone else think this name sounds like a 1970's Japanese monster movie character?

Isn't that the reason the insurgents still have sympathy from many in the Arab states? Because the insurgents believe we are an "occupying" force? Murtha's rhetoric is what is keeping this war going longer than it could be. Murtha's a liar and a traitor.

Of course they are an occupation force. And the minute they leave, there will be an Al Qaeda/Sunni occupation force.

Those who claim we "occupy Iraq" also see the enemy who are now killing other Iraqis wholesale as simply the "resistance" and that they are not committing terrorist acts, just "acts of desperation".

Despite his prior service, it is hard to give Murtha any respect because his views are so extreme.

Murtha can do his nation an even greater service by not running for reelection.

Sheehan and Galloway have destroyed his brain. He may make a good impression with the press, but I bet you he likes to howl at the moon and carry on conversations with a 10 foot invisible rabbit when he thinks no one else is looking.

I heard him cite an Iraqi poll.

83.5% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Are the Iraqi and Jordanian women and children part of the US Military now? Seems like that's who is the target these days.

And can someone tell me exactly what is going "worse" over there? The Dems tell us it is all falling apart at a rapid pace, but they offer no examples except a body count that is miniscule in in comparison with the history of warfare.

I think Murtha's just another cog in the Democrat machine.

The years have shown that no Democrat does anything that hasn't been scripted and storyboarded as a part of a larger strategy from the central committee.

An occupation!? Hardly.

It's not a job. It's an adventure.

Didn't you know that Mr. Murtha?

Murtha believes US forces are an "occupation."

I am reminded of a German colleague's remarks a couple of weeks ago. After WWII ended, he said, it was a kind of occupation of Germany for five years, but then we became friends.

Love it when a lefty whines about the "occupation" of Iraq. "The occupation ended a year ago Summer" you reply. Inevitably the lefty says something like, "says who?". "Well, the UNITED NATIONS and the ARAB LEAGUE for instance," you reply.

100,000 troops in a country of 25 million is an occupying force?

How many do we still have in Kosovo?
