What our Commander in Chief has led us to in Iraq
ABC News ^ | 19, NOvember 2005 | Jeff Head

Edited on 11/19/2005 10:06:39 AM PST by Lead Moderator. [history]

Regarding Senator John Kerry's comments this morning (November 19, 2005) on Good Morning America's Weekend edition, where he said of President Bush and the War in Iraq, "What we need is a little more commander-in-chief, and a little less campaigner-in-chief,”...let's see, Mr. Kerry, President Bush took us to war in Iraq as the Commander in Chief. In the midst of that war, he defeated you in a presidential election where this very issue was the principle part of the deabte...and he defeated you with the largest voter turnout in the history of this country, by a clear majority. In that time and since, our military and diplomats, under his command and leadership, have:

  1. Completed the fastest, most effective military advance in military history.
  2. Defeated the 4th or 5th largest military in the world in quick fashion.
  3. Freed 30 million people from abject tyranny.
  4. Deposed one of the most ruthless tyrants of the last fifty years, along with his Ba'athist party.
  5. Destroyed all attempts by the remaining Ba'athists and their terrorist allies to regain the upper hand, killing the tyrant's two sons and capturing him in the process.
  6. Secured the vast majority of the nation and handed sovereignty back to the Iraqi people on schedule.
  7. Held the 2nd largest, freest vote in Iraqi history to vote on their own interim government, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  8. Had the interim Iraqi government develop and introduce a republican constitution on schedule, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  9. Held the largest free vote in Iraqi history to approve the constitution that the interim government proposed, with even the Sunni minority now participating in that vote, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  10. Assisted the Iraqis themselves in putting the former tyrant on trial for his crimes.
  11. Are preparing for what will undoubtedly be the new largest vote in Iraqi history to elect their own government under their new constitution, again, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  12. Trained an Iraqi military that is now actively taking major support and lead roles in fighting for their own free nation against their terrorist enemies, losing many more of their own lives, and spilling more of their own blood in that process than our own soldiers.
No, Mr. Kerry, your lame attempts to paint this historical mission and tremendous victory in negative terms and throw that negativity on the very leader who had the foresight and the commitment, in the face of abject corrupt opposition abroad and here at home, do not "carry" (or should that be "Kerry") any weight of moral certitude whatsoever. These attempts by yourself and others to try and use your political position to influence us to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory and, "cut and run", are nothing Moore than odorous political gas passing in the wind.

"His personal humility is a wonderfull asset in his personal life..."It(humility)is an admirable trait, but while i feel that may play a part in his reluctance to speak out,i think Republicans are terrified of the reaction from the msm.

Hear, hear! Remarkable things are happening but you wouldn't know it, listening to clowns like Kerry. What a maroon!

To be more specific, a few at the top are somewhat intelligent psychopaths, where most of the enrolled are narcissistic, lazy, stupid, and hostile, and want to be taken care of with anybody's money but theirs.

I've asked before, when has it ever been done better?

People just don't know history, or they would realize that the mistakes made in this war have been amazingly trivial by comparison to almost any other.

Sometime back a leftist was giving me the "no plan" line regarding Iraq, but made the mistake of elaborating that American forces had never before been sent to battle without a comprehensive strategic plan. Can you imagine? (I countered with the example of the allied campaign in the Mediterranean during World War II, but doubtless there are many other good examples if I was more of a military historian.)

LOL! I was just requested on another forum, by a USMC Dad, for a description of Republican sex.

Here it is:

Republican Sex: A good long while warming up, the main thrust a little longer than you thought, definitely makes you sweat, more committed than you expected, and a strong resolve to finish with a bang.

I'm sick of hearing these people using our military and cutting them down in this historic mission for their own political gain.

Get used to it for it's all they have available for political stature to regain power.

Why would ANYONE want to use their own money when someone else's is available to financially promote their personal achievements?

It's hard to believe they can find people stupider than them, but they do.

The movie "Dumb and Dumber" and it's sequel is a most appropriate video catalog to augment your post.

btw, the saying around this neck of the woods (metro DC) is:

"making love is like being out in a snowstorm. you don't know how much you'll get or how long it will last." (with a DIMocRAT, of both genders, it will be both NOT MUCH & BRIEF!)
