Incredible video of our troops in a firefight with (semingly) the Iraqi Police. Fortunately, none of our boys were hurt.

I don't think it was with the Iraqi police, although they obviously suspected some complicity by them.

I think the terrorists are down to the "spray and pray" kind of marksmen.

This is from "Off To War" that comes on Saturdays on the discovery times channel. That happened before the first election. They (US) were from an Ark. Reserve Unit. And yeah, they were painted for ambush by the Iraqi Police. But those Iraqi Police guys are gone. The new guys that are being trained in Jordan are running those dirty cops off. There is an article that was posted here on Free Republic about how when the new Iraqi Police First started coming out of training they would get beat up by the old cops, their new equipment and uniforms were taken away from them and they were told if they came back they would be killed. Now the New Cops out number the old ones and now the new guys are running them off and telling them if they come back they would kill them.

Yea, after watching the video I find no reason to think the iraqi police were doing the shooting. Although they may have been complict they also may have been hiding from the firefight.

It will be nice when the Iraqi Police stops being complicit with and hiding from the terrorists, and join our boys in shooting at them.

Tonight I was out with my wife stocking up on my various medicines and happened across two of our nation's servicemen. I made it a point to shake their hands and thank them from the bottom of my heart for their service. This video only serves to amplify my heartfelt gratitude.

I missed that thread. But I firmly believe that Iraq is becoming more of a success story every day. Sure, there are problems, but we have a press that only reports problems.
It's the most disgusting bias imaginable. They are actually hoping that the terrorists can help them discredit the American president.

Thanks for sharing. A friend of ours just lost her husband last week in Iraq to a suicide bomb. This video helps you to appreciate the challenges and urgency for a sane presence in the Middle East.

Pretty hard to fire the .50 cal when you're inside the vehicle.
To: GodfearingTexan
I think he stayed inside as rounds were going over the top. He may have poped up later to fire, but the feed ended before that. He seemed to be on the ball and ready to do his job.

I guess...I am sure the guy is on top of it. I just cringe when I think we are missing opportunities to take these guys out. Put a bird up with some thermal imagery and they'll find em.
