After several decades, the America-hating, Communist-sympathizing Left no longer controls the direction of the country. It only stands to reason that they'd scream and ramp up the rhetoric. We can look forward to having to slap them down from time to time, but take heart -- this is just another indication that they are not in power. As Rush likes to say, the Left get goofy when they are out of power.

Guess the Republicans were too busy deciding that further taxing oil companies (which will result in an increase in the cost of gas)
I hadn't heard that, but apparently they were trying to make a statement that they were for the "little people."(most people won't realize that corporations will automatically pass on their costs).
I think a much more effective and dramatic statement to that effect would be to get rid of all federal taxes on gasoline.
But then, we wouldn't want to do anything that would lessen the amount coming into the federal treasury, now would we? ;)

The vote? No, the vote is not sad for our country. We NEED fights like this to bring issues before the people. A whole group of legislators opposed the War of 1812---and it killed their party. Sometimes you need to know who is with you and who is agin' you. You need it on RECORD.

Dems are either going to infuriate their demented base, or Abandon the troops. Should be an easy decision to support the troops for anyone with conscience.

Listening to him just makes me all the more enraged by these SOB's in Congress...we lost some fine soldiers in the 101stAB this week.
