That's not what I suggested at all.
In fact, I believe quite the opposite.
But the Republicans have waited so long to take a stand that all they are doing is reacting. As one other FReeper dared to say, it may backfire.

What is happening now??? Drinks are being served in the rear of the House chamber. The guy who keeps banging that hammer thing is mad because he thinks he's going to get stuck with the tab. That's why he keeps yelling about the "order!" He wants everyone to sit down so the waitstaff can get the tabs right. I suspect that "The Swimmer" has walked in for a few cold ones on the way to the "bahhhhr".
