Today Show Words-of-the Week for White House: "Lashing Out"; Dems Depicted as "Happy"
The Today Show | governsleastgovernsbest

Posted on 11/18/2005 4:34:37 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Is the White House the center of American government, or a den of dominatrixes? You might think it's the latter, to listen to the Today show the last couple days.

As I reported yesterday, in discussing the Bush administration's long-delayed response to the Dems' defamatory "Bush Lied People Died" campaign on WMDs, Matt Lauer described the White House as "lashing out."

This morning, the subject matter had changed, but the White House whips were still out as far as Matt was concerned.

The topic was the remarks yesterday by Dem Congressman John Murtha, an erstwhile Iraq hawk, who is now calling for immediate withdrawal.

Sure enough, Matt described the WH as "lashing out" at Murtha.

Report David Gregory echoed the party line, repeating the charge that the White House had "lashed out," throwing in for good measure the notion that the Bush administration "blasted" Murtha, and had renewed its "attack lines" from the 2004 campaign.

Do Dems lash out too? Nope, at least not according to Today. How did Gregory describe the Dems? Why, as a "happy" bunch, pleased to keep Republicans on the defensive over Iraq.

"lashing out" ----- par, the media can get no sicker with their unrelenting and harmful bias.

The old established/liberal/socialist media is America's most ruthless, relentless, and destructive enemy.

They are successfully killing this country.

I am just seething about these sissy boys in the Senate. What can we do to make these morons understand what they are doing is STUPID? Not fighting in Iraq has really kept the French and Spanish from dying and being attacked hasn't it?!!!

Thanks for stomaching the show today. I hope your t.v. is still ok, even if you had to hurl something at it after what you heard.

Because what's bad for America is good for the Dems.

It should be clear to everyone that the celebrations over the demise of the HBM and the harm that they can do to this country are premature.

"What can we do to make these morons understand what they are doing is STUPID?"

First you can click on and join Operation Spread The Truth:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1522317/posts

You can get contact info and access to form letters to e-mail and fax (especially fax) your congressmen and Senators.

I've written 2 Bills of Censure and faxed them to my Senator (Frist) a couple of times already:

A Bill
Resolution of Censure of Senator Harry Reid

Whereas on November 8, 2005 Senator Harry Reid of Nevada wilfully and publicly impugned the integrity
of the Vice President of the United States by saying "The manipulation of intelligence to sell a war in Iraq,
Vice President Cheney's involved in that."

And whereas Senator Reid continued his public attack by stating "The White House energy policy that puts
big oil ahead of the American consumer, Vice President Cheney is behind that."

And whereas Senator Ried also said "Leaking classified information to discredit White House critics,
the vice president is behind that."

And whereas these types of public personal attacks, WITHOUT OFFERING ANY EVIDENCE,
demonstrate action contrary to senatorial ethics and tend to bring the Senate into
dishonor and disrepute, that obstruct the constitutional processes of the Senate,
and to impair its dignity; such conduct by a member of the United States Senate is hereby condemned.

RESOLVED:That the Senator from Nevada, Harry Reid, failed to maintain proper public ethical standards
by impugning the ethics of a sitting Vice President of the United States. His behavior on November 8, 2005
betrays the necessary good conduct as a Senator and has affected the honor of the Senate.
His abuse of Senate rules has prevented his fellow members from carrying out their assigned duties,
thereby obstructing the constitutional processes of the Senate, and that this conduct of
the Senator from Nevada, Mr. Reid, is contrary to senatorial traditions and is hereby condemned.

A Bill
Resolution of Censure of Jay Rockefeller

Whereas on Nov. 13, 2005 during a nationally televised interview, Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia
admitted to taking it upon himself to visit the countries of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria in January of 2002
whereupon he "told each of the heads of state that it was my view that George Bush had already made up his mind
to go to war against Iraq." And whereas Senator Jay Rockefeller also told those heads of state
"that was a predetermined set course which had taken shape shortly after 9/11."

RESOLVED: That the Senator from West Virginia, Jay Rockefeller, failed to maintain proper
public ethical standards by impugning the ethics of a sitting President of the United States.
His behavior on Nov. 13, 2005, in which he made allegations against the President, WITHOUT GIVING ANY EVIDENCE,
betrayed the necessary good conduct as a Senator, affected the honor of the Senate, and that this conduct
of the Senator from West Virginia, Mr. Rockefeller, is contrary to senatorial traditions
and is hereby condemned.

Yes, it might be masochism, but I like to offer other explanations:

1. Watching so you don't have to.
2. Keeping track of the nefarious doings of our ideological adversaries.

And, of course,

3. Doing it for the chil-l-l-l-dren.

bump

So let me get this straight.......for months, the libs and the media have been pounding the WH, calling them every name in the book, but when Pres. Bush and Cheney respond......whoa, it's an "attack" on the libs.......ok, got it.

I think we can largely blame the HBM for Mr Bush's approval rating continuing to go down. There seems to be nothing he can do to restore it. I thought there was hope for us a year ago when he was re-elected but now it looks like the American people remain as dumb and/or gullible as ever.

At least I thought the WH Communications Director handled the usual dumb questions from Katie well, and even refuted a statement David Gregory had just made. Katie just looked grouchy and bitter behind her serious journalist glasses, and grudgingly thanked her for the interview.

TGIF..you get to devote your attention to Ellen Ratner..LOL

If we step back for a momemtn,,and look at this whole left/lib/Dem/MSM/firestorm..the Plame/LibbyIraq resolution/Delay brouhahah..in reality, the Dems are offering NOTHING..no agenda, no ideas, and you can't win without that..so, we'll challenge and fight them on all their lies..but this is their high watermark..the Dem party is close to disappearing in its present form..The GOP will net samll gains in BOTH the House and Senate, then the lunatic left fringe will capture the party convention...and 2008 will ressemble the McGovern disaster for the Dems...and after the 2010 census, the red states will gain form 7-10+ EV.s making the electoral college math for the Dems very hard, if not impossible..

I am sure that Katie, Matt, and Murtha are quite 'happy' with their results. 55 or 65 Iraqis dead in overnight bombings in Baghdad.

Can they not see?
