This was just posted on the Speaker's Blog. It is in response to John Murtha's call that the U.S. "cut and run" from Iraq. I applaud the Speaker and the House Republicans for standing up for our men and women of the armed services. Mr. Murtha is wrong, wrong, wrong!

What was Murtha's statement?

Dear Congresscritters:
It is my understanding some members of Congress are considering an exit strategy for Iraq. Would you kindly encourage them to undertake the exit strategy for Germany, Japan, Korea, and then Bosnia first?
It pains me when so many elected representatives join forces with the lunatic left for the sole purpose undermining our President and the morale of my soldiers fighting the War on Terror. And frankly, most of us consider such an alliance as despicable. I hope that I haven't sacrificed my civilian career by giving four years away from my family as a Reservist on Active Duty since September 11, 2001 for this sort of political nonsense.
The only viable Iraq exit strategy: All Islaminazi terrorists lay down their arms worldwide. That hasnt happened yet. The Iraq exit plan: All remaining Islaminazi terrorists are dead.
Sincerely,
OLA

With the votes on TUE by most Senate Republicans in favor of the Levin and Warner amendments to the defense bill, the Pubbies have come dangerously close to being lumped in with the "cut-and-run" crowd.

I think the answer is pretty simple :
Declare the Democratic party a seditious organization and ban it . Remove all by loyalty declaring Dems from their offices .

Murtha's statement must have been really over the top to get this response. In essence, for a rinking US Senator to say this about another politician. It is tatamount to calling them a rotten, no good bastard and SOB directly to their face.

I'm so sorry Denny is "saddened". We could do with a little more anger and a lot less "saddness".

Bout time the Republicans started using the same tactics! The GOP needs to do more than that; they need to buy prime time slots on television and run ads with Vets telling Americans not to cut and run.

They are, along with the likes of the ACLU, CPUSA, just for openers. But they are all still here....they are both classic examples of the abuse of freedom.

Murtha called for an immediate pull out of troops from Iraq. Only a complete fool with no knowledge of history or human behavior would support such a statement... oh, whoops! I forgot: he's a Democrat.

Disgraceful that as a former Marine and Vietnam combat Vet, so I've heard in the MSM, Murtha could betray soldiers in the field like this.

Pubbies have come dangerously close to being lumped in with the "cut-and-run" crowd. Rino's are most definitely 'Frenchies'. In modern times however the 'Frenchies' themselves apparently prefer to be called 'Greater Algerians'. Republican senators in general: care first about themselves and their reelection; they care second about the Senate; they care third about their party; and apparently they care last about the country and its defense.

I am impressed with Haster's statements -- looks like Republicans are fighting back! About time!
I heard Murtha's statement on the radio and wanted to scream. Then I saw his picture -- he should be retired from the Congress. He is now becoming a disgrace to the uniform he wore so proudly. What's with these RATs? Don't they understand they are putting our military in harm's way with their reckless statements.

Pull out all US Troops from Iraq NOW.
Another democrat has become a traitor and is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. He and the other democrats are responsible for the death of American military personnel. And American civilians if the terrorist are allowed to win.
