Congressman Murtha - having now told our troops that he no longer has their back, that they should run scared from the terrorists, that they should leave the fate of Iraq's infant democracy to the terrorists, that he won't honor the mission and committment for which 2,000 of them have died and for which 26,000 Iraqi civilians have died - should be told to resign.
Every Freeper, and particularly every Freeper in PA, and particulalry every Freeper in the 12th District of PA needs to (1)contact Murtha's office and demand he resign, (2) contact every PA friend and relative and tell them to contact Murtha's office, (3) contact every friend a relative in the US tell them to contact Murtha's office.
With the issues of PA's corrupt Sepreme Court judges backing illegal raises to PA politicians, corruption in Philadelphia, and people like Murtha, conservatives and Freepers should be looking for a getting support to conservative challengers to Murtha in his district.
Oh I'm gonna make the receiver melt on the other end! LOL
We've lost too many Marines in Iraq(and one is one too many) for this clown to be shooting off his mouth about "bugging out!"
And you're DAMN RIGHT! I don't know what unit Murtha was in in Nam but he should damn well know better!
Semper Fi,
Kelly
telephone lines are busy...but I'll keep trying!
The fax is busy as well. Go Conservatives!
bump for later
Yepper!
Political power coupled with a Democrat mindset can damage the brain. Honor and character are not a permanent traits and are constantly tested. Both Murtha and McCain have have long since departed their fromer courage and service.
Taxpayers revolted two weeks ago in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania and voted out a Supreme Court justice for the first time in history as a protest for the Court's backing of the legislature's attempt to sneak through a tremendous pay increases for themselves and the judiciary. Pennsylvania's usually apathetic voters may getting fed up and are ready for a change.
I don't think Murtha's cut and run strategy is going to go over too well. On the other, I recently saw figures which showed that in terms of Iraq casualties, Pennsylvania ranked the highest per capita.
Murtha happens to be my representative. I never voted for him. My brother attempted to get some help from his office recently and was ignored. Murtha should be booted out.
Timed for Bush's asia trip?
I talked to a guy in Allen's office last night, and he told me that the real Republican amendment (replaced by the Warner-Almost-Levin amendment) was originally scheduled for LAST WEEK, while Bush was still here, but the democrats delayed it.
Keep up the good work Freepers....we must win this one!
The guy is forgetting, ie he was a Marine, he supported the war. Maybe it's an alzeimer's problem.
I wonder if they are answering the phone? I've dialed twice and let it ring off the wall with no response, and now I'm getting a busy signal. I have a feeling he's hearing more than he had bargained for. He deserves to be asked to retire. Whoever wrote the speech should be fired immediately, and Murtha should be 'recalled' for being stupid enough to read the speech.
I just got off the phone with Murtha's office.
spoke to some flunky and told him that we have lost too many Marines in Iraq; that we weren't going to disgrace their memory by pulling out! And that I don't know unit Murtha was in the Corps but Murtha DISGRACED THE MARINE CORPS TODAY with his remarks.
And that we were not going to pull out of Iraq until we finish the job!
I further told him that he should resign!
Well, McCain was a vet and a POW and he still says it was the right thing to do. So, why should we care so much about this guy?
Good point. But would the Dimwits sacrifice national security just to keep Bush off page 1 during his Asia trip ? There is one thing I do not understand about the way they are acting. Bush cannot run again. Why are they expending all this capital to attack a person who wont even be running ?
Murtha rose through the ranks of the Marine Corps from private to colonel. He left college in 1952 to join the Marines and serve in the Korean War. He later attended Officer Candidate School and, after retiring to the part-time Marine Reserves and attending the University of Pittsburgh on the G.I. Bill, volunteered for service in Vietnam War and won a Bronze Star medal for valor. He retired from Marine Reserve as a colonel in 1990.
With a life like that so dedicated to America, I believe he needs to be heard. He is the only Combat Vietnam Vet in the House, right? What are his reasons?
Lucky me, I'm a consituent of the honorable (hack, gag, puke) Congressman. The only reason he keeps getting reelected is all the goodies he brings to our area. For starters, we've got a John Murtha Highway, John Murtha Technology Center, and Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center. How fitting, as he is a boob (no offense to breast cancer victims/survivors intended).
Is he an idiot?!
We won and Saddam lost = Mission Accomplished.
Time to bring the troops home and let the Iraqis govern themselves.
Active duty?
Gore-type duty?
