Murtha Should Resign
Wuli | November 17, 2005 | Wuli

Posted on 11/17/2005 11:39:54 AM PST by Wuli

Congressman Murtha - having now told our troops that he no longer has their back, that they should run scared from the terrorists, that they should leave the fate of Iraq's infant democracy to the terrorists, that he won't honor the mission and committment for which 2,000 of them have died and for which 26,000 Iraqi civilians have died - should be told to resign.

Every Freeper, and particularly every Freeper in PA, and particulalry every Freeper in the 12th District of PA needs to (1)contact Murtha's office and demand he resign, (2) contact every PA friend and relative and tell them to contact Murtha's office, (3) contact every friend a relative in the US tell them to contact Murtha's office.

With the issues of PA's corrupt Sepreme Court judges backing illegal raises to PA politicians, corruption in Philadelphia, and people like Murtha, conservatives and Freepers should be looking for a getting support to conservative challengers to Murtha in his district.

Someone on another thread was already claiming that he was a Marine "lifer" who served 37 years, implying it was active duty.

He served a few years active duty during Korea but not in Korea, did the GI Bill thing, owned a carwash for a decade, went to Vietnam for a year at the age of 35(!) and went immediately into politics where he's been ever since.

Honorable enough service on its own terms - yet note the Democrat need to embellish.

What do you mean 26,000 civilians have died? Why a few weeks ago I was debating a moonbat who claims we have killed over 100,000 innocent civilians since the war began. Mostly, according to the moonbat, from the early bombing. He must be correct because he told me that Rosie O'Donnell herself said this on TV. He was also going to send me a Govt. Web site address that I could go to and see for myself that this was true. That was about 3 weeks ago and I just know he's going to be sending me the link anytime now.

Any Vietnam vet who returns and becomes a Dem politician is very suspect. See, Kerry, Gore.

Why should he resign? Nothing new here, nothing new here at all.

Murtha is just CONTINUING the Democratic Party's vocal, proud and hallowed tradition, since Vietnam (four decades now and growing), of
'giving aid, comfort and encouragement' to the enemy during time of war'!

If he has to resign, so would most of the Democrats in office everywhere. Nothing new here at all. (sarcasm--off)

Once Conservative collectively do a cranial-rectal extraction and start responding properly, I can see this kind of craziness going very badly for the Democrats. Everyone knows why we won all the battles but lost the war in Viet Nam: Politicians and the Media. We won't do it again.

He will resign if the Republicans hold the House after '06 election. He has gotten less and less interested in the well-being of the military since '94 when he was de-throned of his chairmanship and more and more interested in regaining his birthright, the Chairmanship of the Armed Services Committee with all the accompanying perks. This is his last ditch effort to regain what he and the Democrats regard as rightfully theirs, control of the House, and if this backfires, you'll see him do what most of the old Bulls have done ---QUIT! He has stuck it out in the humiliating position of being in the minority as long as he can stand it.

It is absolutely amazing that Murtha would state the US military can not do anymore in Iraq, just days after Iraqi Islamic terrorist attacked neighboring Jordon. Perhaps Murtha should ask the King of Jordon if there is anything useful the US military can still do in Iraq ? Obviously the dimwits are working from a drafted script that was constructed before the attack on Jordon. For some stupid reason the time table of their script could not be delayed or altered. Which means this is leading up to something. The 2006 elections come to mind, but they could have delayed this call for complete withdrawal by a couple of months and still pull it off before the 2006 election. Something else is coming up within the next 2 months.

He does not have the integrity to resign.

Resign? A 'Rat resigning from Congress or the U.S. Senate will never happen in our lifetime. Occasionally one gets led away in handcuffs and ends up in jail ... but a 'Rat resigning will never happen ... they're shameless.

Is it just me, or has the rhetoric from the Left sky-rocketed since Veterans Day? It seems after we have honored the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, we have been getting nothing but doom-and-gloom from the Democrats? These people are absolutely stuck on stupid.
