That's nice, except Libby isn't charged with leaking the information, but rather, he was charged with lying to prosecutors and the DA about something that wasn't a crime in the first place. The fact that someone else might have leaked the name is irrelevant.

But does this mean that Woodward is participating in a plan to bring down another person who is even higher?

This stinks.

In all honesty, Woodward is the poster boy of the left.

The left is salivating in hopes that Woodward got the information from Rove. However, this is tempered by the fact that, if nothing else, Woodward will protect his sources.

Chris Matthews was deeply, deeply disappointed last night on Screwball.

Facts are irrelevant to this witch hunt.

On Brit Hume's show yesterday, Joe DiGenova said that Fitzgerald had an obligation under the law to review the indictment since the Woodward reveraltion had introduced significant reasonable doubt into the mix.

How ironic if Woodward could save Bushies from indictment and a democratic hatefest right before the 2006 elections.

Bad news for the DUmmies, who already have Libby guilty and bound for the slammer.

In their empty minds, only a conspiracy by the "right-wing media" will save Scooter. And that's what's the're going to say, because this case is DOA.

If (please note the use of this word) Libby lied under oath, he should be charged with perjury. If Libby did not lie under oath, he should be exonerated.

I don't care if there was or was not a crime to lie about, the lie itself is an undermining of the judicial system.

This is why Clinton was impeached and why he should have been removed from office. I didn't care that he was having an affair. I didn't care that he was involved with a woman his daughter's age. I didn't care that he didn't even have enough sense to be discreet. I did care, very much, that he lied under oath. Perjury, even about a non-crime, is a form of eroding the system of justice that is the foundation of our Republic. It is a high crime. It is a felony.

So, if Woodward's testimony shows that Libby was not lying, this is important for Libby. If this just shows, again, how this was a political witchhunt, then Libby still needs to have the allegation of perjury examined.

anybody else notice how involved the msm is in this story? these people are running around giving testimony to grand juries then grabbing a few minutes of quality face time on the 24 hour cable news channels...they've become half the story themselves. oh well, they never claimed to understand the Heisenberg Principle in the first place. Except Dan Rather and he's convinced that as a minor deity in the Hindu pantheon he is exempt from natural law.
