Name one thing the party stands for other than to demand tax cuts.

But .. Arnold doesn't have 75% approval ratings either .. does he?
And .. since Arnold can't deliver .. I'd say that gives Tom a much better chance. Even if you don't agree!

I agree with the article. The special election was a boneheaded move. Low turnout favored the unions. The RATS will takeover and the state will crash, than a real Republican can win.

I'm sure another Republican could win in a landslide. Right?
Someone who actually supports the republican platform and isn't out to change the government by eliminating elected representation could win.
To: hedgetrimmer
Like who, for example? Arnold told people via the props we needed to cut stuff in the budget. Look how well that went over.

In a significant power grab for the governors office. Why can't he cut spending without trying to change the government in a way that harms the rights of the individual and the balance of power in the state government?
What exactly has been the governors focus since his election? He has completely reorganized the executive branch, giving way to much power to extremists like Sunne Wright McPeake, putting in numerous extremist environmentalists and planners to totally change Calfornia from a state where people have some freedom left to one that is very controlled--especially with respect to housing and transportation. He has created an unconstitutional council called the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, which undermines elected representation in the area and usurps authority from the individual citizen.
In the meantime, our infrastructure is still falling apart, the highways in the Bay Area are in such disrepair that you can't even believe you are in America, it seems more like East Germany before the Berlin wall fell.
His trade junkets are also questionable, he needs to tend to the state right now.

You didn't answer my question. What hero from the GOP could be elected in CA right now?

Choose another RINO? No thanks.
To: hedgetrimmer
I SAID what other hero from the GOP, not what RINO. You don't have an answer because you know there isn't one. It's cute to cut down the guy in office because in imagination land there's a real conservative who could come in and do better, but that kind of talk isn't very productive in my opinion.
