I smell a trap here. Why would the AP report this unless there's a trick up their sleeves?

DeGenova was on TV with Brit Hume tonight. That man was furious at Fitz and said that Justice Department rules demand that Fitz review his case because there is now reasonable doubt. Specifically, he mentioned Fitz' reprehensible press conference where he blamed Libby for being the first person in the administration to reveal Valerie Plame's name.

DeGenova also stated that Fitz was attempting to give the impression that Plame was covert when he used the word classified.

I never watch Hardball, but tonight a friend called and said you have got to watch this. Matthews is working with all his power to pull a mystery out of Woodards latest revelation on the leak case. He had the wrong guest tonight. I don't believe they helped. The most interesting thing was when Matthews appeared to be shocked, he sat with his mouth open for the longest time, appearing to be speechless. All the time I was thinking how stupid he looked. What a moron.

Nope. Woodward came out because his source went to Fitz and gave Woodward a waiver. Both Libby and Rove are not the source. It is a huge twist. What it means in the end, I have no idea...

The DUmmies think another Admin official will be indicted. But don't they always?

I saw it and just posted about it. Joe DeGenova is Victoria Toensing's husband. They're awesome, aren't they!

I watched Matthews for a little while tonight just because I thought he might wet himself, instead, all he could talk about was whoever this source is, is "using" Woodward because he won't let Woodward say who it is publicly. Then, he went on about how this might lead to the "big fish".

I turned the channel.

Bob Woodward's version of when and where he learned the identity of a CIA operative contradicts a special prosecutor's contention that Vice President Dick Cheney's top aide was the first to make the disclosure to reporters.

LOL. No s**t Dick Tracy.

Woodward stated specifically that he was NOT talking to Rove about this matter.

Did Fitzgerald say this?

Fitzgerald in his indictment and presser said that no journalists knew about Plame until Libby told them. This was Fitzgerald's proof that Libby must have lied when he told Fitzgerald and the Grand Jury the Libby had heard about Plame from a journalist. How many other journalists knew?.

If the time line don't fit you must equity.

LOL....I watched Matthews too. Love the guy that said there was no conspiracy. Of course, the Vice President's office wanted to know who was this guy Wilson and who sent him to Niger.

he was in the middle of finishing a book about the administration's decision to go to war in Iraq, and didn't want to be subpoenaed to testify.

Of course, it's all abut Woodward. Had to beat Deep Throat into publication.

Their game plan will probably be to just ignore the statement in public and chastise him in private.

Chris Matthews' game plan is to imply that Woodward's unknown source might be falling on his/her sword to get Libby off the hook. In other words, Matthews' implied that what Woodward and the source are saying isn't true.

Fitzgerald also contradicted himself at that press conference - during the reporter-questioning period, he repeatedly stated that he was not able to discuss things beyond what was contained in the indictment, and yet in his opening statement (the long, rambling one about baseball pitchers) he did exactly that by editorializing about how revealing the identity of a CIA operative was a serious crime that jeopardizes national security, which is not a part of the text of the indictment...

According to a Fox report, Rove's attorney has said this "person" is not Rove. Rove never spoke to Woodward about this.

Things happen so fast here, a lot can be missed. I've been disabused of a notion more than once. Gotta run, have a great evening....

"We can't tell the whole story. I would like to. It's one that will be told some day," he said.

Geez. He got burned on the Deep Throat thing so here he goes again.
