WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon on Wednesday acknowledged using incendiary white-phosphorus munitions in a 2004 offensive against insurgents in the Iraqi city of Falluja and defended their use as legal, amid concerns by arms control advocates. ADVERTISEMENT

Army Lt. Col. Barry Venable, a Pentagon spokesman, said the U.S. military had not used the highly flammable weapons against civilians, contrary to an Italian state television report this month that stated the munitions were used against men, women and children in Falluja who were burned to the bone.

These people make me sick. They'll do anything to subvert our efforts against international terrorism. If they had their way, we'd be reduced to using squirt guns against the most depraved characters on this planet. What pukes.

Hopefully the Pentagon will have had the courtesy to add a small quantity of pig fat to the mix.

Well now....

If the militant lunatics didn't masquerade as "civilians" -- there would be fewer "accidents" where "civilians" were put at risk....

However - I doubt ANYONE in close enough proximity to battling militants, could be called "innocent civilians."

I can positively guarantee that the U.S. is taking greater care to avoid killing the "innocent" than the freaking Muslim murderous bastards have taken...

Besides "Woolly Peter" is a wonderful weapon -- you can hear the screams of unseen enemy that it has "reached out and touched"....

Lefty peace liars have been specifically targeting WP at least since the mid-80s, when an Oscar winning Salvadorean communist propaganda film repeatedly referred to it as an "anti-personnel weapon" with no reference to its target marking function and no fair evaluation of its use and effects.
As most Freepers will know, depleted uranium and cluster bombs are the targets of well-financed propaganda campaigns supported by the Mennonite Central Committee and other fifth column fronts. If a weapon is effective against terrorists and insurgents, one can generally count on these activists to portray its use as unhuman and agitate for its withdrawal. This happened with napalm, falsely and idiotically portrayed as a "chemical weapon" so often that political and media pressure forced its withdrawal.

Since these campaigns against specific weapons are characterized by distortion, misperception, ignorance, and outright lies, it is obvious that the peace liars' real purpose is to assist terrorist and insurgent elements by forcing the withdrawal of the civilized world's most effective weapons.

Speaking of of the MCC, the Friends Service Committee, and the Unitarians (among many others), when are the media going to start howling about the fanaticism and weird doctrines of the religious LEFT?

How about the terrorists using nails and ball bearings in their bombs to kill innocent men, women and children...isn't that inhumane?

Don't forget the fabulous "Cicciolina"

Ex-porn star bid to be Milan mayor (Agencies) Updated: 2004-08-07 14:14

A former porn star and one-time Italian lawmaker says she plans to run for mayor of Milan, saying she would like to make the Italian financial capital more "exciting," perhaps by opening a casino.

Staller: Once offered to have sex with Saddam Hussein in return for the freeing of foreign hostages. Ilona Staller, widely known by her stage name, "Cicciolina," told The Associated Press that if elected in the city's 2006 mayoral vote, she hopes to make Milan "an exciting place."

I think she was a member of the Italian Parliament

White phosphorus is really nasty stuff. If it gets inside you it will stop burning due to lack of oxygen ... but when the surgeon tries to remove the shrapnel ... it gets oxygen and starts burning again. Cool. Can't think of a better way to take out a few "insurgents" and maybe taking a few fingers off an insurgent sympathizing doctor or two.

A 500 pound bomb is mostly chemicals. A bullet is made up of chemicals. Ready-to eat-Meals have chemicals in them. Laser guided bombs have chemicals in them. The Humvee burns chemicals to operate its engine. What weapon used by our troops does not have chemical components?

The Admin needs to stop apologizing for things there is no need to apologize for. Bush did not need to apologize for the FEMA Hurricane Katrina response--same crap. The USA needs to get out of the war business if it contiues to fight a politically correct war.

Anybody who does not know the difference between white phosporous and a chemical weapon categorized as a WMD should go soak their head in napalm then relax with a cigarette.
