Of course, this uncalled for attack by Foxman on people of other Faiths is, itself, a perfect example of my point.
Isn't he the same guy who said he was certain that "The Passion of the Christ" would lead to a horrific rise in anti- Semitic violence? Boy, he was sure right- on about that one, millions of Jews were attacked by people who were brainwashed by watching that film (Note the sarcasm in what I just said).
In either case, I'd agree with you guys. Christian Americans are about the best friends Jews have right now. Odd that he was focusing on how evil American Christians were while ignoring all the anti- Semitic violence performed by Palestinians.
Christianity is routinely slandered, libeled, and repressed in the US by Democrats, and the only reason Judaism isn't in the same boat is that 80% of Jews vote Democrat, and the Democrats can't afford, for the moment, to lose their votes.
Foxman's anti-Christian bigotry apparently prevents him from distinguishing his friends from his enemies.
Success. That is what is so scary about Christians. Success.
I've often said that if Abe Foxman didn't exist, anti-Semites would have to invent him, since he aggressively personates every negative stereotype that anti-Semites associate with Jewish people.
Christians in this country are the biggest supporters of Israel against all (and there are many) of their enemies. You would think they would appreciate us a little more.
I am a Christian and I don't care at all about what Abe or any other leftist says. I will ignore him. Don't worry we're smarter than the MSM leads you to believe:)
But he can't raise money if he can't yell 'anti-semite'. If he can turn evangelical Christians against Israel, he'll be set for life.

Stalin already had the concentration camps set up. And some of the preliminary accusations had gone out for the doctor's plot.
At the same time the Rosenburgs were tried and executed for treason in the USA--and this less than a decade after the Holocaust. This naturally caused fear and suspicion in the US Jewish community. This fear and suspicion was played upon by knowledgeable communists and leftists. These folk not only knew about what Stalin had done in the 1930's and was about to do with the doctor's plot but also saw the Rosenburg trials as show trials american style ... that is, a prelude to an american pogrom. What Stalin had planned to do -- in a brilliant piece of jujitsu -- leftists imputed to Americans on the right. Christians. But it was done soto voce. Basically a blood libel was perpetrated on Americans--especially conservative American Christians-- without their knowing it.
While the American public outside NY/LA were generally given the view that the McCarthy era was an age when innocent men were unjustly tried by suspicious anti semites like McCarthy & Nixon--the NY/LA Jewish establishment was given a different story. They were given to understand that the democrats/liberals had prevented the US from visiting a holocaust on them. And that therefor they owed their loyalty to the liberal democrats because the liberal democrats were the protectors of the Jews.
And this went on for decades after McCarthy. This is the meme that Mr. Foxman is trying to keep alive.
This dual track story line didn't crack until the early 1990's when the kgb/nkvd/gru opened up their files on the WWII-McCarthy Period. In 1995 the US's NSA agency opened up their Venona files. Both Russian and American spy agency files showed that McCarthy was right. The US government --as well as the Manhattan Project--had been at one time soaked with Russian Spies. The Rosenburgs were guilty.
Needless to say, an American style shoah was never in the cards.
The reason that hollywood hated Ronald Reagan so much was that he was an anti communist in hollywood during the McCarthy period.(He was among the first wave of FDR democrats to switch parties.) Reagan was blacklisted from Hollywood. He couldn't get work there after McCarthy. However, his experiences in Hollywood served him well when he went into public service. He always understood the jujitsu of media talk of the age. Something that cannot be said of Nixon.
Actor George Clooney's is directing a McCarthy topic film now open in theatres. The film called "Good Night and Good Luck", in which Clooney also stars, is a look at the impact of McCarthyism on 1950s America.
That Clooney should step up and take on this topic shows that he's either really bright or really stooopid.
I suspect the latter. But I'll never know for sure. Since I won't go see his movie. I went to "A Beautiful Mind" and came out of that movie spitting mad.
When I hear American based Moslems talking about McCarthyism being visited on them. I have to laugh. They don't know that they have pronounced themselves guilty in the eyes of many Americans.
Mr. Foxman should know better. He would if his actual theology was Jewish. But its not. Its atheist/socialist.

Foxman doesn't really care about "the Jews". For him, politics trumps the well-being of the Jewish people.
What Abe cares about is world socialism, and anything that will advance it. And that means that he will gladly be the ally of people who support the mortal enemies of the Jews, the far left and their Islamist allies (who'd really, really like to make Jews so scared of American Christians that they stop paying so much attention to what the Muslims are up to).
Actually mighty anti-Christian of him to be saying that.

Their brochures oppose school vouchers which the Gadolei Hador support.
They have always been more interested in getting a waelthy Zimri into a WASP country club than helping Jewish Jews.
