That's what it takes to defeat the left. Anything else would be cowardice, which many in the GOP are guilty of.

Was this guy a Good Majority Leader? Granted he was ML during Liberal height, but I'm curious. His comments in this piece garner more respect than anything I've heard from Frist's and Lott's mouths.

I served with Howard and Mrs Bake in Japan, where he was ambassador. he was greatly repsected by the Japanese. To them he was what an ambassador should be - older, wiser and with much experience in how our goverment works. He is a national treasure.
