"Stop the war!" they shouted. Translation: "Leave Iraq to our friends, the terrorists!"

Cheney didnt acknowledge the hecklers and never faltered
That's what it takes to defeat the left. Anything else would be cowardice, which many in the GOP are guilty of.

War, what is it good for?" Besides liberating 100's of millions of people? I dunno Killing several 10 of thousand of murderous barbaric thugs that rape murder and torture unarmed, undefended captives simply for being from a different sect of their OWN religion. Gee other then that, I don't know. I know Anti American Stooges. Why don't you go ask the German National Socialist Party?

They should be forced to have lived under Saddam Hussiens rule for a week.
How about Iran. Would love to hear them bust something like that out during the Ayatollah's speech at the Tehran university. They would end up in prison eating rats for years.

Was this guy a Good Majority Leader? Granted he was ML during Liberal height, but I'm curious. His comments in this piece garner more respect than anything I've heard from Frist's and Lott's mouths.

"War, what is it good for?"
Wasn't that the original title to War and Peace? I think Tolstoy's mistress made him change it.

Yeah, Republican Senators these days tend to suck. We need the good old fashioned Republicans from the 80's who weren't afraid of making Ted Kennedy and his cohorts feel bad.

I served with Howard and Mrs Bake in Japan, where he was ambassador. he was greatly repsected by the Japanese. To them he was what an ambassador should be - older, wiser and with much experience in how our goverment works. He is a national treasure.

Too bad the idiots' street theatre tarnished a tribute to Sen. Baker. War. What is it good for? Can't they think up something a bit more current? That lyric must be 40 years old.
