Would like to see transcripts of BW's interviews during this time.
I am sure he chose to feed the tiger in Washington as per Lib agenda - than fight it - as per good journalism should have required him.

Woodward said he also testified that he met with Libby on June 27, 2003, and discussed Iraq policy as part of his research for a book on President Bush's march to war. He said he does not believe Libby said anything about Plame. The "official" is not Libby.

Can't trust the compost heap any more. Let it settle out to the real facts eventually. Until it is headlined in all L/MSM as a proven fact. I'll wait out any discussions.

Fitzgerald interviewed Woodward about the previously undisclosed conversation after the official alerted the prosecutor to it on Nov. 3 -- one week after Vice President Cheney's chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was indicted in the investigation. It was the "official" who brought the conversation to Fitzgerald's attention, ie., this is not something that Woodward revealed on his own, nor something that Fitz dug up on his own.

This whole mess will be thrown out before Fitzmas, er, I mean Christmas.
Fitz F'd up big time. 2 years and this is now revealed. What a joke.

Pincus said he does not recall Woodward telling him that. In an interview, Pincus said he cannot imagine he would have forgotten such a conversation around the same time he was writing about Wilson. So Pincus is now questioning Woodward. Pincus testified before the grand jury, didn't he? It doesn't sound like he told the story Woodward told...what a tangled mess of lies.

In a more than two-hour deposition, Woodward told Special Counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald that the official casually told him in mid-June 2003 that Plame worked as a CIA analyst on weapons of mass destruction, and that he did not believe the information to be classified or sensitive, according to a statement Woodward released yesterday.
no law broken...now what ?
