I heard about this last week in Mens Bible study, how can they possibly do this.
Are we sure this isn't some Internet legend or some such nonsense?? Because that is EXACTLY what this had better be or I'll renounce any prior affiliation with the Air Force.
Thanks for posting this. Sad state of affairs.
Told by who? Who? I want to know. Who thinks he has that much authority?
Whoever, tell him to go to the devil, in Jesus' name.
If this incrementalism is not stopped, radical islam will be the final increment, converting by the pistol.
There are , of course, exceptions when there is a large American community adjacent to the installation, but for the most part when I was stationed overseas, the base chapel was the place for worship.
As a Christian...I would find it offensive if my Chaplain was restricted from praying in the name of the one that our faith is named after and follows.
The official jihad against Christianity by the leaders of the U.S.A. must be stopped.
This is from the ACLJ. It's not a hoax.
They're probably the best line of defense we have against the likes of the ACLU. See the Alliance Defense Fund and Rutherford Institute, as well.
If this position paper is coming from the ACLJ...trust me, this isn't an internet urban legend. Jay Sekolow had much more important work to do than waste his time on something that isn't actually happening.
Not sure I see any corroboration or links or references in this story.
Don't worry, I'm off to call the ACLU. They'll be right on the case, I'm sure..
"For many Christian chaplains, praying in the name of Jesus is a fundamental part of their beliefs." !!!
Crucial Requirement..
John 15:16 ... that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 16:23 ...Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you.
John 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so. . .

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
Sweetest Name I know,
Fills my every longing,
Keeps me singing as I go.
Soon Hes coming back to welcome me,
Far beyond the starry sky;
I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown,
I shall reign with Him on high.
This would be awful if it were true.....
Fortunately this article extrapolates information from a non-proselytizing policy at the Air force Academy.
This doesn't affect Services and sermons but does prevent all Chaplin's, regardless of faith, from proselytizing outside of the church outside of the church venue.
This is clearly a violation of the chaplain's First Amendment rights. I'd like to see some lawsuits here. We definitely need to get a grip on the "judges" in this country. Around their throats would be nice.
OOPS! Should read...
