Time Magazine: Blanco One of Three Worst Governors (Blanko's Response)
WAFB ^ | Nov 15, 2005, 12:09 PM CST

Governor Blanco had a three-word response to a stinging designation she's received in a major national news magazine. Questioned by reporters at the capitol today, blanco told them, "Watch my results" and then she walked off.

Time magazine has declared Blanco one of the three worst governors in the nation. The magazine quotes pollster Bernie Pinsonat who describes Blanco as appearing "dazed and confused" after Hurricane Katrina. Time hits blanco for slowness in calling a special legislative session, and slowness in appointing a recovery commission.

At the bottom with Blanco is Ohio governor Bob Taft and Mark Sanford of South Carolina. Who's the best on the Time magazine list? It cites Arkansas's governor Mike Huckabee, whom the magazine describes as "a consensus building conservative."

His spokesman said his refusal to raise taxes is another reason why, and that the nation's best governors raised taxes according to TIME.

Yeah, I figured it had something to do with that.

And is it just me, or is the fact that Time magazine actually got something right scary?

After listing Blanco as 3rd from the bottom of Governors currently in office, I expected Time to also list George W. Bush as being at the bottom of the list of Presidents of the United States currently in office.

Why is MArk Sanford considered a bad Governor? I'm not up on SC politics, but I remember liking him..

You're going to like Governor Blanco's brilliant response to criticism.

She said, "Watch my results." Watch what? Walking failure?

And is it just me, or is the fact that Time magazine actually got something right scary?

Scary, but it's balanced out by the fact that the five best governors in their list are all Democrats or tax-raising Republicans. (Maybe she's a token)

Sanford's there because he keeps vetoing all the big spending goodies the legislature passes. No wonder they hate him.

"This poor thing tried to blame Bush for her uselessness.
Finally it backfired!"

I wish that were true.
As far as the dumb public and the MSM is concerned, BlankoBrain and NoBrain Nagin get a pass, and Bush is blamed as if he created Katrina.

From what I've heard, yeah they do. He doesn't have big time approval ratings, but they're still good. He's a favorite for re-election.

The five "best" governors include three Dems and two tax-raising Republicans. The three "worst" include two Republicans. Guess it isn't hard to figure out Times' bias.

Dazed and confused... Heh! Well at least Blanco didn't get hysterical and blubbering like girly-boy Nagin.

THe un-elected governor of Washington State Christine Gregorie will be joining blanco on that list within a year.

She had results.....the were "poor"....but she "walked away"....so much easier for her than dealing with reality.

At least they are reporting that she is bad. :0) I'm sure this is the first stage of her media rehabilitation. First, she's awful; next month she will be doing good work; in about three months she will be demonstrating superhuman strength; and right before her next election she will walk on water. I don't trust Time Magazine anymore than any other MSM. :0)

I hope for your state that it isn't because of her mishandling a natural catastrophe where people's lives depend on her leadership.

The only positive thing out of this is maybe just maybe people will think long and hard if hitlery runs.
