I think illegals have spread to every state, Clemenza. Here in southern Cal, it's THE NUMBERS OF THEM that are so alarming. The gang activity is frightening, the shootings are happening on a regular basis now, it's downright scary. You already know about the hospitals closing, the school overloading, the prison overcrowding, and the probable upcoming bankruptcy of California. Now they want us to build more schools to accommodate them, keep providing medical care for them, and smile while our state fails.

Everyone I know (including Mexican-Americans) says that if they had wanted to move to Mexico they would have already done it. NO ONE wants to. Instead, Mexico is being forcibly served to us on a platter, and we're paying the price.

Pleas to those politicians who are supposed to be representing us go into the round file. What's the old saying, something about being screwed without a kiss?? It's happening here.

life, liberty, and the right to pursue happiness

Those rights that we're supposed to have are going down the drain in favor of globalism.

God, I love this story. Lionel Richie on the loose! Look out, Section 8ers!

I too live in California, just north of L.A. in the Central Valley. Everything you say is true. We have been looking for somewhere to run to, tough to find somewhere where the illegals are not there.
We have a whole section of our city that looks just like Mexico, with better roads. The billboards, store signs, everything is in Spanish. They have destroyed our city.
We are looking at Hawaii simply because the Mexicans don't go there.
Gotta get out of California soon one way or the other. I have lived here all my life and now despise this state.

I used to drive to work down this road in norcross that had a little ranch house with a white picket fence, perfect image of the suburbs right? Only the white picket fence is covered in gang graffiti.

Most of us feel the same way, sheana, but it's not always an option for people to move when their families and livelihood are strongly connected to this area. There's also that question of "Why should WE be forced out when THEY'RE the ones breaking the laws?"

I think it will eventually lead to a race war here, citizens against illegal aliens. I hope not, but something has to change or California is lost. We just cannot continue to pay the price our own government is forcing us to pay.

I'm in the L.A. harbor area, which is looking more and more like Tijuana.

I only have problems with TV ads that always show the man as stupid and the woman (or minority) being smart.

Note also the “no visible man” and “woman wins” genres. Many commercials show a mom with kids, but no dad to be seen. Apparently their market research shows that unmarried women would be offffeeeeeeeeennnnded seeing a married woman in an ad.

Some TV commercials show a minor man/woman conflict, always resolved in favor of the woman. Wouldn’t want protests from the femi-nazis.

I don't think there will be a race war. I think there will be skirmishes after which the government will prosecute U.S. citizens. It is already happening. That seems to be the way of things now. One way or another this country will wind up being a third world nation. It is well on its way now. I firmly believe that the politicans are willing to sacrifice all that is American to their globalist agenda.
Can't bring the rest of the world up to us?....then bring us down to their standards. I think the only hope is another revolution and I don't have alot of faith in the populace for that.

One of my neighbors constantly screamed out the window on how Lionel Richie was coming to rape him.

I realize that this must have been awful for you, but this is also one of the funniest things I've read in a looooong time.

Anyone not believing this, and wanting to see this up close and personal only needs to visit the "colonias" that are popping up everywhere in the border states. Slums, we're paying for Mexican slums, and no one asked us if we wanted to.

Coming to everyone's state soon, if it already hasn't come.

When I was a kid, my mom and I often stayed with my grandparents in El Paso, Texas. My dad was in the Air Force and was often overseas.

The neighborhood was nice, not affluent, but well kept and clean. The houses were well maintained, and the yards were beautiful. It was a friendly place with a lot of kids my age.

When I returned to El Paso on a business trip, I decided to stop by the old place. I had not been there since 1968, and I was anxious to visit and take some pictures for my mom.

When I drove my rental car onto the street where my grandparents lived, I was shocked.

Every house was run down. Almost all of the trees were dead. Not a blade of grass was to be seen among the formerly emaculate lawns. It was nasty, squalid, and downright ugly. Paint peeled from the houses and shingles dangled from the roofs.

It was a disaster zone.

White flight, baby. I guess it was the fault of the white people who ran away from the neighborhood.

When I first moved to Atlanta in 96 my wife and I would go to Gwinnett Mall sometimes on the weekend. Total suburbia, we would kind of laugh at some of the suburban stereotypes. We don't go there anymore. Illegals, all of them.

OK, but don't white Atlantans realize that the illegals will simply follow them to Forsythe?

Say it isn't so, and if it is, pass a law and force them to stay.

They've certainly done this in public schools.

15-20 miles, but 2 hours on I-85 or I-285. Hotlanta has a terrible traffic problem. You can have it.

My neighborhood was middle class, Hispanic, black, Anglo. The kind of place where you knew your neighbor, waved to the mailman, and the flag was seen on many houses year around. Now it's Section 8 central. I had to call the police twice this year. Advice from the police officer? Move, it's only going to get worse. I won't drive down one end of my street, there are men out there all day drinking beer and playing basketball, and no, they don't work nights either. We have seen a sick mentality piggyback with the Section 8 into our neighborhood, and it stinks. One stabbing, one drive-by, and I can't count the number of break-ins. Cars parked on the lawns, grass not mowed, garbage everywhere, unsupervised mouthy rude children out all hours into the night. People aren't moving out because of race or ethnicity, its middle class Hispanics that are doing most of the moving out! Why should we pay a mortgage on a home in a middle class suburb when someone who can't afford to live here can go Section 8 and get the get the govt. to help kill my neighborhood? But, and this is irritating, they need govt. help to make the rent yet drive brand new cars. Not an urban myth, I see it on my street.
Section 8 is a broken program.
I think that if I had the Lionel Ritchie screamer that would be the straw that broke the camels back.

I believe they do. I believe everyone sees very clearly what is going on. It is unmistakable in the area the article is referring to. The first candidate in 08 who comes out hard against illegals will be the winner. Hands down. People thought there was a huge majority against gay marriage, wait until they get a load of this one.
