No problem with that.
oops messed up my new tagline.
Not to mention that a lot of the time those bad people will gravitate toward some form of religion since it makes a handy weapon. It not only can supply a ready-made army of fanatics but also provides a compliant, exploitable population of followers willing to remain ignorant to anything their leader labels as off limits.
Yes, of course, we Americans were the most horrible barbarians in history. Except, that is, for all the other conquering peoples of the earth...
Yep. Why? Sometimes just because we can, because we hate them, or because we want their land, or in the case of the Cherokee, the gold under it (which is why we sent them on the 1,000 mile Trail of Tears, in which 4,000 died). History has shown this is found across almost all religions, and atheists.
Obviously, this essay lost somthing in the translation from the simple but beautiful language of the Inca Monkey God.
I don't think anyone has said ID should be taught INSTEAD of evolution. But it couldn't hurt to point out weaknesses in any theory, IMHO.
What does any perceived weakness in the theory of evolution have to do with ID? Evolution is a theory, ID is a belief. They do not stem from the same source, nor do they address the same processes.
Evolution is a belief also. All you have to do is follow these threads to see that.
I think this article is right on. If you would read Darwin's Black Box by Behe, I think you would see some of the aspects of life that simply cannot be explained by Darwinism.
I am an elctrical engineer and used to beleive that evoultion was the process God used to create (make) man. I don't beleive that anymore, life is simply too complex to be explained by chance.
God's blessings to you,

Christianity
is the "work" of Jesus and
the Holy Spirt.
All the folks who think
a group of politicians
(no matter how bad!)
can undo God's work
just reveal how little faith
those folks have in God.
Theory: a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world; an organized system of accepted knowledge that applies in a variety of circumstances to explain a specific set of phenomena; "theories can incorporate facts and laws and tested hypotheses"; "true in fact and theory"Evolution is a theory. CS and ID are beliefs.Belief: any cognitive content (perception) held as true; religious faith
Seems evolution does fit the definition of belief.
No, it doesn't and thus any discussion of evolution or ID on this thread is indeed irrelevant.
LOL I like that. E=mc^2/s*sqr pi
e=evil
m=morons
c=speed of thought of a paranoid schizo
s=compounded total of conspiracy theories presented
I never thought I'd read you say that!
