And the cost of identifying all of those people and sending them back would be stupendous. It would be billions and billions of dollars...
I am sure that investigating their criminal activities, or jailing them, or maintaining them and their families for the rest of their lives is just a drop in the bucket. Each of our states has spent billions and billions on the illegal problem that the federal government refuses to address. Chertoffs should be fired for incompetence.

Bush had to send Chertoff out to talk the illegal problem to death. He did not intend to do anything. As far as I am concerned it is total dishonesty. Pour billions into rat holes of the ME, not one cent for American border security.
Bush the elder was a failure as president and junior is fast following in Dad's shoes.

Whether it is popular or not there are realities that need to be addressed with the Mexican issue. There is alot of manuel labor that needs to be done here with cheap labor. Much of the problem is thanks to Child labor and overregulation. The fact is that agriculture and low paying jobs are low technology high labor jobs that need to be filled.
