Bush had to send Chertoff out to talk the illegal problem to death. He did not intend to do anything. As far as I am concerned it is total dishonesty. Pour billions into rat holes of the ME, not one cent for American border security.

Bush the elder was a failure as president and junior is fast following in Dad's shoes.

He's still better than Kerry, but I'm very dissapointed in his second term.

Yeah it is Bush's fault. He could just snap his fingers and things will change. There are powerful forces across the political spectrum who want to maintain the status quo. The business interests want a steady supply of cheap labor and the Dems want the votes of the largest and fastest growing minority group in the country. It will take a major grassroots effort to get the political elites to change our policies.
