I'd rather be the minority party than have these types of turncoats on my side. What does majority status gain you, if RINOs can blackmail you at a moments notice? Nope, give me a smaller more loyal group.

Senator John Kerry, who lost to the president a year ago, called the war "one of the great acts of misleading and deception in American history."

The Kerrys of America are the reason that Bush Senior didn't finish the job in Operation Desert Storm. Kerry and his buddies murdered all those killed by Saddam after the first Gulf War, just as the Cambodians were murdered by the anti-Vietnam War protestors.

And now Kerry is STILL trying to kill innocent Iraqis. What's he got against them, anyway?

Anyone who is sane, wants Bush to succeed in his goals. I hope that you are right that that is what is in the cards, more likely than not. He was until next summer frankly to do it his way, is my best guess, absent unanticipated events.

Watching the Dems these past few years has made me too cynical for my own good.

It's my understanding that we have been requested to stay around for awhile by the standing government of Irag.

Occupying force?

We're in agreement here. We both have concerns and hope for the best. Iraq could turn into a pretty decent little nation where all factions live in peace. IMO, if the outside influences could be cut off, that would happen a lot easier.

Thanks for the discussion.

Dear Terrorists,

If you'll just hold off until next July, we'll be pulling out of Iraq, and you can have the country to be your new base of operations.

Your's Truly,

The Dems

Appear to be putting pressure to withdrawl (sic) troops so when it actually does start happening and had nothing to do with them, they can claim it was because of their actions.

BTW, the withdrawal of troops that is bound to occur after June of next year doesn't have anything to do with any beneficial action by the Bush administration either. The facts of life are that we are running out of cannon fodder for the war zone in Iraq so that without a draft Dubya will be unable some time next year to sutain present troop levels. Perhaps the best outcome for all concerned is for Republicans to congratulate Bush on removing troops from the field at exactly the right time (which Republicans will do anyway whenever such troop withdrawal occurs) and for Democrats to congratulate Bush for his so-called "victory" over the infidel perpetrators of 9/11.

LOL! Iraq is already the new base of operations for Al Qaida, compliments of military geniuses sitting at the top of the Bush Administration.

There already is a "timetable"....

The first order for a major troop withdrawl will be given by the president on January 24, 2009.

Or should I say the "new democrat" president on Friday, January 24, 2009.

That's all the dems have to do....run on the failed Bush strategy and getting out of the war. It does not matter a whit whether or not the military is "winning" or "loosing". It does not matter if the Bush strategy is showing slight gains and if it were kept in place, large gains over the long term future. It doesn't even matter who the dem candidate is.

They will win if all they do is drive home the point of getting out starting Jan., 09.

So...there it is....your timetable.

Please document where any member of the administration (or any major Democrat pol, for that matter) blamed Iraq for the 9/11 attacks.

Of course, I guess you could be saying that we would be winning over Al-Qaeda in Iraq, but then I thought that you considered the war a distraction, and how could it be a distraction if we're killing Al-Qaeda?

Please cite evidence of this. If we cannot maintain troop levels you should be able to find numerous press accounts proving it.

someone needs to start looking into these people (dems) taking bribes or being blackmailed.Being against the war is one thing, disagreeing with the president is one thing- but this in your face manipulation of emotions and suppression of actual facts in this case is evil.

Why are you pretending that Al Qaeda is doing well in Iraq when their own assessment is that they are in grave trouble there? Are you working for their PR firm?
