MONTGOMERY, Minn. (AP) - For better or worse, Coleen Rowley the candidate for Congress sounds a lot like Coleen Rowley the FBI whistleblower.
The former FBI agent who scathingly exposed the bureau's failure to uncover the Sept. 11 plot is running for a House seat in Minnesota in 2006 as a Democrat, and she is employing her fearlessly blunt style on the campaign trail.
"This was a lied-into war that is a quagmire now," the 50-year-old Rowley recently told a group of rural Democrats in a garage in this small town south of the Twin Cities. "It could be worse than Vietnam. The truth is we can't win, and there's still an ongoing deception."

Kind of makes you understand why she was ignored to begin with.

Coleen and Ross Rowley have been married for 25 years. During that time, Ross handled things on the home-front while Coleen brought home the family paycheck.

WOW. 4 mis-statements/lies in 2 sentences ... she sure does have that left-wing Democrat spin down perfectly.
1) No lies pre-war, see Bush's latest refutation of that smear.
2) It is an order of magnitude *less* dangerous than vietnam. (2,000 killed versus 58,000 killed).
3) We CAN win, and we ARE winning in Iraq, as proven by the establishment of Iraq's democratic institutions and the passage of the Constitution.
4) It is NOT a quagmire, except for the terrorists, who are losing badly.

She might as well be talking about her campaign. She os just another "star" in the hackett mode that the Whigs think they can win with. They can't.

Since there was no danger, how could not connecting the dots be material?
We never doubted she was an anti American zealot.

Take this woman seriously because she could be a foretaste of things to come
The long range strategy of the Cindy Sheehan left is to continue to undermine our efforts in Iraq drip by drip here at home. This woman is another drip
We must deal with these people as soon as they surface. Our strategy should be to answer these enemy supporting leftists with clear counters to their playbook talking points using hard hitting answers of our own
Otherwise these traitors will actually cause us to lose this war and reap the resulting disaster
If you are interested in exploring this lets talk

Other than the fact she's coloring her hair, you just nailed it, Ivan.

the money she will bring in will be huge and mostly out of state. I'd not count her out either. remember, my state(sigh) was the only state to vote for Mondale. that's why we're the Land of 10,000 Taxes.
