With the advent of Talk Radio and Fox News, the MSM media doesn't even try to disguise their left wing bias anymore,. All week long we have seen Mary Mapes on the talk show circuit and NOBODY has asked her how a Microsoft Word Document could ever be considered as a legit Military document. She has been asked by every talking head if she stands behind the documents, when she says "Yes" they simply move on and ask her another question.

What we had from Mapes this morning during an interview with E.D. Hill on Fox and Friends, is this exchange on the definition of "authenticate"......(This is a CC transcript that GRRRR provided.
E.D.: You had the three cbs authenticators, who said no, i quo not authenticate thaT. What happened?
>> This is what is difficult about iT. We tossed the word around authenticate and there's a legal meaning to it and then there's the kind of thing you and i would talk about. Legally authenticate means 100%, which would be an ink test or something like that. You can't do that on a copy and i always knew that and what i felt we had to do was rely on the information much more than the very subjective profession of document analysiS.
Funny, I keep hearing on FR about how the MSM are dead, powerless, not trusted...yet when we find that the people feel Bush isn't honest (and that's what I hear every day from the people around me), it's blamed on the MSM.
And rather than ask, "what can we do about the perceptions," the FR Ostrich Brigade wants to pretend that there's no trouble, and this is a great road we're on!
