President Bush is making a speech at noon. Fox is reporting he will address the criticism aimed at him by the democrats in the past two weeks.
Mod note: Click here for transcript thread.
Islamic radicalism like communism...parallels doom them to failure. Declaring war on progress and freedom condem themselves to isolation decline & collapse. Free people will own the future.
About Freeping time the President compares the Terrorist Idealogy to Communism..
He needs to take on the democrats and the MSM specifically.
I'm quite frankly surprised. Both CNN and MSNBC are airing the speech.
sure wish President Bush would give these great speeches DURING PRIMETIME when so many more people (who are working now) can see/hear it...
That is why we have a big task. We have to fight msm and the leftist. We have the power to do it. We must continue to stand up for our President and not let the enemy destory us. We will PREVAIL! WE WILL PREVAIL!
I'm not watching, because I know he'll disappoint me again.
I just can't figure him out. We hold all the cards. We control the WH and Congress, but he still tries to make nice and lets them spread their lies.
he is listing our accomplisments now.......
True. But then they'd go ballistic on him.
I agree 100%. Maybe when "Commander in Chief" is on.
I said the same thing earlier today nutmeg. *shrug*
Ws mention of "by fearing freedom" brings to mind a great response to the sociocrats...
"Why are you so afraid of social and personal freedom?"
Whooo, hooo. Looks like I got me a way to silence my NEA card-carrying s-i-l.
On Veteran's Day, an important speech by the President of the United States on the WAR that every day threatens our very lives, and what do we have?
A complete television blackout by the networks!!
(I don't have cable)
And only one radio station here in Los Angeles is carrying the speech live
(KFI 640 AM). Not even public radio is covering the president.
We are in trouble, folks.
RME, you are on the live thread and not planning to listen. Try watching and see what a strong man he is.
Going on and on about how bad Al Qaeda is. Ok. We got that W. Where's the "pushback" on the CRITICS that don't think Al Qaeda us worth fighting in Iraq? Hello? (yawn)
"We did not ask for this global struggle, but we are meeting it with confidence.."
Yea, I just came here looking to see if anyone got a screen capture of it. I'm sure DU will be talking about how the aliens were there watching President Bush's speech.
Although, the face looks more blue to me.
This is all well and good, but he NEEDS to get on with hitting back against his political enemies as well as the Islamist. He has plowed this ground many times before.
Bush has done it the past 3 years plus 2000.
IMO, it's his job.
This is a terrible thing to say now, and I truly admire GW and I know he's a good man..but I just can't stand to hear him speak. He just never conveys what he ought to convey in a way people can understand. I don't know if it's his fault, his speechwriters fault or a combination of both. But I always end up cringing..So I have the audio off on my TV and will just read your comments.
