I am very interested to hear this live but cannot find any links for a live feed.
Will this be covered by C-Span?
Anyone who can offer a link for a live feed would be my hero for the afternoon.
Thanks!

That's a good speech. He'll have to modify a couple of words. I don't think "crap" is Presidential, but other than that..Awesome!

He'd better take on 25 congressmen on their ANWR position too if he wants to demonstrate leadership.

Press Briefing by National Security Advisor Steve Hadley

... I point out that some of the critics today believed, themselves, in 2002 that Saddam Hussein had weapon of mass destruction, they stated that belief, and they voted to authorize the use of force in Iraq because they believed Saddam Hussein posed a dangerous threat to the American people. For those critics to ignore their own past statements, exposes the hollowness of their current attacks.

...

Q Steve, A, is the President going to talk about this tomorrow, the whole question of the criticism he's been taking in recent weeks on Iraq? And, B, you said -- you used the word "hollow" before. Are you suggesting politics is at play here?

MR. HADLEY: I think people have to look at the record, look at how we got the intelligence, and look the judgments of the -- the statements that people made at the time on that intelligence. And that's to -- needs to inform the judgment we make about some of the things we're hearing said now.

Q Is the President going to talk about it tomorrow?

MR. HADLEY: He may talk about it. The thrust of the speech tomorrow is to continue to talk to the American people about the war on terror, the nature of the enemy, what is at stake, the importance that we see it through to success, and the contribution that Iraq and Afghanistan, and what we're doing in Iraq and Afghanistan, can make to winning the war on terror and advancing the cause of democracy and freedom, which, as you know, the President believes is the long-term direction we have to head to deal with this problem.

Considering the public believes the President lied his way to war, that Saddam and Sons were bad, but just innocent bystanders of Bush's greed or wrath, and therefore taking him out was a mistake so our soldiers die for nothing, I would say we are not lending them enough attention.

Each so-called news org and reporter should be in our sites.

They are political operatives, running a 24/7 campaign.

I also hope and wish that Bush would lay off his (gag me) "Islam is a religion of peace" liturgy. I see even his comments in Jordan emphasized that the terrorist hotel bombings were a stain or anomaly against a "great religion" or something like that. I am so sick of Bush pandering to Muslims and Islamic terrorists, I about gag every time he mentions this!!! WTF!!! The only group currently engaged in beheadings, torchings, bombings & rioting today are Islamic Muslims!!! I don't know if Bush actually believes his own appeasing, pandering comments or if he is really that naive & simple. I wish the guy would grow a spine...maybe he will after this speech.

But I think before the day is out, he will.

He can and will do both.

Sadly, he won't be at the Tomb today. He's sending the VP.

I respectfully disagree with you.

If the president does this right, he will do more for the troops, their morale, and American support back at home than he possibly could do laying a wreath.

WHY ARE THEY ANNOUNCING THIS??? JUST DO IT, DAMMIT. Now instead of being pleasantly surprised by Bush going on the attack, the people and press will have big expectations and instead have to suffer through Bush's typical "uhhhs", and a performance that doesn't live up to hype. If you want to attack, just do it, don't hype it up beforehand.

Will this be covered by C-Span?

###

I phoned their main DC number and a pleasant woman explained to me that the speech will be played in its entirety "sometime" today.

She had the chutzpah to "explain" to me that because CSPAN was going to cover the Vietnam Veterans Memorial event at 12:50et - and they "would not want to cut away from the President's speech if he spoke for more than an hour" they chose to not show it live!

That's what the media is going to say to make him look bad.

He won't need the medias help

I'm sure he'd rather be honoring the Unknowns.

If he wanted to be there, he'd be there.
