Time: 11 a.m.

The parade starts at either 23rd Street, if you believe 311, or 26th Street, if you believe the antiwar site, and goes UP Fifth Avenue to either 57th or 56th. Bring signs if you like.

Will you be walking up towards 48th from there? and will you have an identifying sign? I could probably catch up with you all during lunch hour around noon somewhere along the 48th through 53rd blocks.

No, we won't be walking. We'll be standing there at the corner. I will bring an identifying sign and I'll get there early. Hope you can join us. The sidewalks are usually not too crowded for this parade.

Sixtieth anniversary of the end of World War II. A much bigger parade than in recent years.

Darn, how I wish we could go to this parade. I'll ping my CT list... perhaps some Fairfield County FReepers can make it down tomorrow.

Have a great time at the parade! :o)

I would love to be there, but I can't leave work.
It's a shame this job is so confining.

The keywords above apply to the antiwar float that is planned--the Gold Star Mothers for Peace and all of them.

I just noticed the keywords and was going to ask you about them. How disgusting that these antiwar moonbats have to spoil this parade honoring our veterans...

I had originally given more attention to the antiwar float in my post but then decided the important point is the veterans, so I changed it, and I forgot to change the keywords. : )
