The Freepers swarmed CBS not because it was right or fair but because they could.On Web sites such as Powerline, INDC Journal, Allahpundit, and Spacetownusa, the bravehearts of the blogging world worked anonymously in what appeared to be huge numbers, in unison, to destroy the Bush-Guard story, to uphold one another's wild and hateful claims, to outshout, outargue, and outblog anyone who dared to disagree. And on their Web sites there is no disagreement. They hate in unison, they speak with one angry voice, they each make themselves bigger by staying as close together as possible.

Sean Hannity on radio yesterday shredded Mapes to the point I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Actually Mary mAPES, contrary to liberal spin, free thinkers do on occasion agree enmass on a particular subject. We always agree on the truth. Would you have us take turns as pro and con even when we are in full agreement, just to fit your opinion of what is free thinking???
Sorry Mary,unlike our wimpy Republican politicians, we the grass roots of Conservatism are just not that anxious to please you liberals and your MSM. As a matter of fact Mary, the more pissed off and shrill you jackals become, the happier we are.

This makes my brain hurt.
There is one central fact in all this. The document was a forgery. Period. How Mary and Dan continue on with anything but apology? They cry, they whine, they blame others, the attempt to engage in revisions... incredible.
They have to be from another planet than me. I don't get it.
If I hadn't lived through the past 40 years of reading, listening and watching the MSM, I'd think she was merely joking.
After opening three newspapers just this morning and reading all of the biased, slanted and downright dishonest headlines and stories, Mapes' description of FR as "sharks sweeping" merely points out how they still don't get it. All the better for the rest of us.
