Wal-Mart faces boycott for 'banning' Christmas
WorldNetDaily ^ | Nov. 10, 2005 | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 11/10/2005 1:48:18 AM PST by News Hunter

A Catholic advocacy group has launched a national boycott against Wal-Mart, claiming the world's No. 1 retailer has in effect "banned" Christmas, while promoting other seasonal holidays such as Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.

But Wal-Mart tells WorldNetDaily it has "absolutely not" banned Christmas, but is just "trying to serve all our customers for the holiday season."

I didn't say they should discriminate based on political views. I'm just giving you a different theory on why their sales dropped. The left plays dirty. See the lawsuits, the union bullying, etc.

I do think caving into pc policies draws in liberals who hate you and seek to destroy you. Why make it easy for them?

"Search the internet"?
That's your proof?
That' lame.
Had a guy, a troll, show up here not to long ago name jeighsun.
His great 'thought'?

"By the way, have you googled depledted(sic) uranium yet?" -that was the sum extent of his whizzdom.

You'd better be able to come up with something more than 'google it' to back up your assertion.
YOU made the assertion, I asked you to back it up.
YOU have to prove your position, it isn't up to me to prove YOUR position for you.

"No, because all you want to do is argue.."

You have been here before under a different handle, haven't you.
You sound very familiar.
And your immediately hostile behavior tells me that you and I have crossed paths before.

Walmart has fired the oaf who wrote a demeaning letter to a customer and changed their search engine. Christmas no longer takes you to a generic "Holiday" page.

My local WalMart starts putting Christmas stuff on the shelves long before Halloween. Unfortunately, their idea of Christmas is the jolly fat dude in the red suit and his silly little reindeer. Hard to find anything related to the true meaning.

No, we have never crossed paths before, but you certainly seem paranoid about people not liking Wal-Mart. In fact, it would seem that considering the concerted efforts here to defend Wal-Mart that perhaps you and a few others are the trolls, sent here by Wal-Mart to defend the biz on a public forum.

"troll"? It would seem that you show up to every Wal-Mart thread, suggesting that you are the troll, sent here by Wal-Mart to defend them.

Ah, personal attacks.
Thanks for confirming.
Yes, you've been here before.
And you've retread.
Don't worry, I'm not going to tell anyone about you.

Yes, troll.
You made a statement and then refused to back it up.
You can't do that on FR.
Unless you want to be like MD4BUSH.

When this string first posted I checked out the site and found the posting to be accurate. I checked back today and found nearly 8000 items for Christmas. Apparently the grown-ups are back in charge there.

I think people have the power to vote with their wallets.

Walmart has the right to exist. Walmart has the right to compete against its competition. It has the right to fight against unionization. Walmart may also decide what they display or promote in their stores such as Christmas or other holidays.

We have the right not to shop their if it offends us. I will not shop at any store that denies Christmas and if we all do this it will stop guaranteed.

No need to protest outside the store or get crazy. I would suggest a letter or email expressing your concerns as a customer.
