The head of the Palestinian intelligence services, Bashir Nafeh, was among those killed in a blast that shook a hotel in the Jordanian capital, a top Palestinian diplomat said.
"Bashir Nafeh was killed in the attack on the Grand Hyatt hotel," charge d'affaires Atallah Khairy said.
At least 57 people were killed and up to 300 wounded in three successive attacks on the Radisson SAS, Grand Hyatt and Days Inn hotels last night, Jordanian officials said.
Iraq's al-Qaeda said today it had carried out the triple bomb attacks on Amman hotels, according to an Internet statement.
"A group of our best lions launched a new attack on some dens ... After casing the targets, some hotels were chosen which the Jordanian despot turned into a backyard for the enemies of the faith, the Jews and crusaders,'' the statement said.

This scumpuppy finally got his reward. In March 2002, Fatah, led by Arafat, launched a campaign against Christian churches and businesses around the West Bank in an attempt to extort money for local militias. The focus of the Fatah attacks was in Ramallah, the headquarters of Arafat. A mob led by Fatah militants attacked churches, Christian institutions and businesses during a two day period in early February. The sources said the attack was coordinated by Bashir Nafeh, a leading PA security officer and Fatah member. The attack began on Jan. 31 when Muslims torched Christian homes and stores in Ramallah. The mob also attempted to break into the Greek and Roman Orthodox churches in the city and attacked Christians on the streets of the city. At least one Christian was killed. The attack stemmed from Fatah attempts to force Christian businesses to pay a monthly sum to the militia. In the Kalandia refugee camp outside Ramallah, a Christian butcher refused to pay what was termed protection money and was stabbed to death. So goodbye, good riddance, Bashir...

Funny, I don't recall this story.
But I do remember an MSM story about Arafat doing a "weeping and
gnashing of teeth" over the departure of Christians from Bethlehem.
Of course, I've learned to NOT rely on the MSM in determing who's
the bad guys and good guys in any conflict.
Of course, persecution of Christians DOES NOT HAPPEN for a lot of MSM...
and that was just about the policy of the US government until
fairly recently in ruling on immigration cases.

So now do the Palestinians need to do the blood vengeance thing on the perps? Or is that an exaggeration that has entered the realm of mythology? Enquiring minds want to know.

Three Palestinians killed in Jordan blasts
AMMAN, Jordan, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Three Palestinian officials were among the killed in a series of bomb attacks in three hotels in the Jordanian capital, a Palestinian diplomat said Thursday.
Palestinian chargé d'affaires in Amman, Atallah Khairi, told United Press International that Major-General Bashir Nafeh, the head of military intelligence in the West Bank, and Colonel Abed Allun, a top Preventive Security Forces official, were killed at the Amman Hyatt Hotel Wednesday night.
He said that Jihad Fattouh, the commercial attaché at the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo was also killed in the Hyatt blast, adding that he had arrived from the Egyptian capital only an hour before the attack.
Fattouh is also the brother of the head of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Rawhi Fattouh.
They were among at least 57 others killed and more than 200 others injured in almost simultaneous attacks that may have been carried out by suicide bombers at the Hyatt, Radisson SAS and the three-star Days Inn Hotel.
Khairi said arrangements were being made to take the bodies of the three Palestinians to the West Bank later in the day for burial.
He added the Palestinians were "just as shocked and appalled as their Jordanian brethren over this cowardly crime and we have declared three days of official mourning in the Palestinian territories."
Another prominent Palestinian killed at the Hyatt was Mosab Khorma, deputy chairman of the Cairo-Amman Bank in the Palestinian territories.
Jordanian officials said most of the casualties were Jordanians who were at the Radisson SAS Hotel when a suicide bomber blew himself up in the midst of a local wedding reception.

Hm,well, it looks to me like the three Palestinians were the intended targets. All the rest was just fortunitous collateral damage.
But perhaps I am too hasty.
