Episcopal Bishop Criticizes Pope on Gays By RACHEL ZOLL, AP Religion Writer Wed Nov 9, 4:34 PM ET

The first openly gay Episcopal bishop insisted Wednesday he was not encouraging Roman Catholics to leave their church when he criticized its view of homosexuals during a recent speech in London.

New Hampshire Bishop V. Gene Robinson, at a service Friday commemorating the 10th anniversary of Changing Attitude, a British group which advocates full inclusion of gays in the Anglican faith community, noted during his talk that many Catholics in his home state were becoming Episcopalian.

"Pope Ratzinger may be the best thing that ever happened to the Episcopal Church," Robinson said, referring to former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who is now Pope Benedict XVI. But Robinson said in a phone interview Wednesday from New Hampshire that he was recounting what a Catholic woman told him about why she was joining the Protestant denomination — not expressing his own opinion. He said the woman was disappointed that the successor to Pope John Paul II would probably not make any significant changes in Catholic teaching.

That much is apparent. Beelzebub's boy needs to have his ass kicked.

Guess Pope John Paul didn't pass on the message to him.

"Episcopal Bishop Criticizes Pope on Gays"

Please Bishop Robinson, please, please take the homos desecrating the Catholic Church over to your gay sect right away. I'll even start a funding drive for the transportation.

Just goes to show the names "Church" and "Bishop" doesn't mean much. Evil can be anywhere.

. . .that he was recounting what a Catholic woman told him about why she was joining the Protestant denomination — not expressing his own opinion.

his pulpit. . .now a 'bully pulpit'. . .

I am guessing the 'Catholic woman he based his sermon speech on. . is a Lesbian and that he chose to just stretch the story into a misleading, if not false, self-justification. . .while taking a smack at the Pope as well.

Truth does not serve Liberals well; no matter who is 'spreading the word' or from where. . .

"Pope Ratzinger may be the best thing that ever happened to the Episcopal Church," Robinson said...

Homosexual-promoting Episcopalians might have their own religion, but it isn't Christianity. Why isn't the Christian wing of the Episcopal church speaking out in defense of God's Word? Maybe I don't know who Episcopalians are or what they stand for.

This man seems to be campaigning to make himself an anti-pope.

Gee...and all the gay advocates insisted that he wouldn't be some kind of "ACT UP" hetero-basher.

Liars, one and all.

If you are a secularist, why would you care what Vicky says or does? If, on the other hand, you are a Christian, why would wish bad things to happen to him? Vicky Gene will ultimately pay a severe price for his sins if he doesn't repent, just like you or I. So far, he's unrepentant if not outright proud of his perversions. I truly hope and pray he gets straight (pun intended) with God before it's too late.

He was on British news not too long ago for having loudly criticised the war in Iraq. Another quote from him was unbelievable - he said something along the lines of "the experience of being a gay person is evidence of God's love".

What the flipping hell?

I'm not at all surprised. He's probably pro-choice, multiculturalist, and a firm believer in the "separation of church and state," too.

I have to admit, I despise people like him - people who try to sell the lie that leading a good life involves no personal sacrifice and no self control.

"Beelzebub's boy needs to have his ass kicked."
Nah, he's a double report - to Lucifer's division on theology and Asmodeus' on sexuals. But B. L. Zebub is not in the picture.
