Wonder how long they met today....
Answer = what time does "Happy Hour" start in the BR watering holes...
My sister works in Lafayette at a mini storage place which I helped clean up after Rita. While I was there a St. Bernard resident came in and we were discussed the two storms. He said he asked for flood insurance but his insurance company said he did not live in a flood plain and refused to sell him a policy. I felt so sorry for him, he was like defeated and lost.
This man was a typical family man who worked hard and took pride in his home and he lost everything. Of course we haven't seen any coverage of those residents suffering. It doesn't fit the agenda.
I don't believe this. Am I really supposed to believe an insurance company refused to sell a policy to a good risk?
That is what he told us. Whether or not that is what his agent said or not I don't know. The man seemed sincere. He could have misunderstood. I dont think he was lying though. He wasn't necessarily the sharpest tool in the shed but he wasn't the shiftless bums we saw stealing everything he could get his hands on. He was just trying to salvage what few belongings he had.
I bought the flood insurance policy. It seems to me that insurance agents would love to sell as many policies as possible.
