In a conference call with reporters a few moments ago, Republican National Committee chairman Ken Mehlman described Senator Harry Reid's attack on Vice President Dick Cheney as a "Lyndon LaRouche moment" in which Reid, according to Mehlman, embraced a number of conspiracy theories about the vice president. During a press appearance yesterday, Reid said:
The manipulation of intelligence to sell a war in Iraq, Vice President Cheney's involved in that. The White House energy policy that puts big oil ahead of the American consumer, Vice President Cheney is behind that. Leaking classified information to discredit White House critics, the vice president is behind that. Halliburton, contracting abuse, the list goes on and it goes on...
The purpose of Mehlman's call was to discuss the results of yesterday's elections. He also addressed the question of Republican candidates who, at least for now, do not want President Bush to campaign with them. "Where he can be helpful and they want him to be helpful, he'll be helpful, he's a generous person," Mehlman said of the president. "For people who believe that it would be better if he didn't, that's fine, too."
Beyond that, the most notable aspect of the session was that it was infiltrated by several prank callers who made Howard Stern-style statements when their turn came to speak. Apparently Markos Moulitsas, founder of the left-wing dailykos website, obtained the phone number and passcode for the call and urged his supporters to call in. Their occasionally obscene comments were not a particularly impressive performance by the representatives of the left, but, as one RNC official said, "It made it a little lively."
PWND!
The man from Searchlight *PING*
More like Lyndon LeDouche Reid
How mature of these libs ... / heavey sarcasum >
Amazing right?
Lord have mercy and save us from the democrats.
here is the thread that kos put up about this

Thanks for the ping. I've turned most news off the past couple of days. I'd rather listen to the Days of T.O. soap opera than see any lib or Trent Lott on t.v. Of course I read FR, but that's the only news I want to see right now.
The broad outline of what the Dem'crats are trying to paint, is that like Spiro Agnew, Dick Cheney is corrupt, that he has his hand in a number of machinations, and that when they get the goods on him, he is going to be asked by the President himself (as Nixon asked of Agnew), to resign and go quietly. Then a compliant replacement (John McCain? Lindsey Graham?) is called in and confirmed as Vice President. At that point, the big guns will be rolled out, and all artillery fire will be directed at the President day and night, whether accurate or not, with endless talk of "impeachment". Discharge of the duties of the Presidency would become onerous, if not impossible, and the objective of the MSM and the George Soros-dominated Dem'crat party, the removal of George Bush from the Oval Office, would be effected by either resignation or impeachment.
Worked with Nixon.
The anti-Bush coalition is not yet crazed enough to risk an attempt at assassination. But that does not mean they are not considering the possibility of setting up the conditions where that scenario could be carried out, if their fingerprints can be kept off any such planning or execution. The Dem'crats have some masters at that.
Watch carefully. There will be no skid marks before impact.

MeThinks you best leave this scenario alone. It should get NO ink on our board...
Never, in my wildest dreams, can I see our side doing this.
Well, LaRouche HAS been a faithful Dem candidate for president for many, many years now..............
OKAY, I'M A DOPE....
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT "ROFL" MEANS.......
When a republican in Virginia got a hold of a conference number, and called in to listen, it ended up with someone losing their job, and a lawsuit.
Of course, when democrats do it it's just "good clean fun".
I'd love to see someone go after DailyKos for wiretap fraud -- giving out private phone information for the purpose of eavesdropping on a privileged private phone communication is, I believe, a felony.
LaRouche is saner than that.
Kos has been a busy little bee over there with his threads today
He must have gotten a call from his buddy Dean
I'm probably the 45th person to tell you this, but ROFL means rolling on the floor laughing.
Ahhh thanks. Man I was trying to figure that out.
