wtc911 doesn't like getting out on the streets. He thinks it's ineffective and a waste of time. And, as you regularly tell us, wtc911, you do something else. Fine. Attaboy. Thank you. Go for it. Keep doing it.

BufordP, Bmwcyle and Jimmy Valentine's brother don't necessarily like getting out on the streets in heatwaves, rain, and even snow; but in their judgement (and the judgement of others) it is effective. But no amount of proof that I could offer will convince wtc911; so I won't bother.

As has been repeated on these threads half-a-gazillion times already, some people sit at their keyboards and do nothing but spout off. Others don't spout off about anything, but they do alot quietly. And then there are folks (who make their own contribution in their own way but) who spout off about things on which they have no firsthand knowledge or experience, pissing off the folks who do.

Moral of the story?

Do what you can, as fits your temperament, your time and your budget.

But don't just sit around and do nothing.

And don't piss on the efforts of those who do do something.

On March 15, 2004, there was a preliminary skirmish, more than a year before the regular dueling protests between FReepers and Pinkos started. The leftists protested at Walter Reed as they traveled in a mock funeral procession from Dover Air Force Base, Delaware to Walter Reed Army Medical Center to the White House. More than a year after that skirmish at Walter Reed, the leftists returned to Walter Reed for a week straight in late March of 2005.

Then the Pinkos decided to try their psych-op against war-wounded every Friday at Walter Reed. When we found out, we started counter-protesting them every Friday beginning on April 15, 2005. FReepers have been at Walter Reed peacefully counter-protesting the Pinkos every Friday since then, except that we missed one Friday in May due to exigent circumstances.
