If they want to protect the ANWR, fine, let's start drilling places a little more accessable, like off shore CA, how about inland Utah and Wyoming. We've got 300 years worth of oil in the US, lets use some of it.

"a tiny band of moderate House Republicans stands in the way."

What is "moderate" about that?

Remember when "soft on communism" was a meaningful charge?

Maybe we need to start talking about these RINOs as being "soft on liberalism."

Good grief. It seems like the Republicans are the party that can't shoot straight. This is probably the best shot at getting ANWAR drilling approved and it's possible the Republicans in the House will shoot it down!

ECO-PING

FReepmail me to be added or removed to the ECO-PING list!

I'm the last person that wants to see drilling in ANWR but we have to get oil from somewhere. Why not do it and be responsible while doing it.

The point of all this is......who sees ANWR? Betcha none of these Republicans or Dems have ever been there nor has any of the public! We are gonna save ANWR so some wildlife can enjoy it? Ridiculous.

So who are these RINO Republicans? What are their phone numbers and emails so they can start being called all day long until they respect the will of the majority of the American people.

It really sickens me that 5 or 6 RINOs can literally control the entire Senate. Time to put them in their place.

I don't want to see drilling in ANWR either, but if we make the consequences stiff enough the oil companies would be much more likely to do as little damage to the environment as possible in order to avoid paying the fines and cleanup costs.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if no oil companies stepped up to drill ANWAR even if it was finally approved. They can drill cheaper in other countries and not have to put up with the enviro crowd in the US.

Let's drill the heads of these RINO's, there must be sonething up there like a lot of fat we can use as an energy source.

There does not appear to be much brain cell.

Joe Biden and Mike Castle!

I wish that I could propose that a politician's EGO could not exceed the size of his or her respective state.

"I'm the last person that wants to see drilling in ANWR..."

Why?????

ANWR literally serves no legitimate purpose now, why not make it useful? The wildlife refuge lie is so egregious that all who lean on it need to be exposed. Let's drill.

I have no idea why those who propose to drill don't emphasize a guaranteed plan to restore the area to its original condition when they are done. It can't be that hard to do.

Sure, why not, we don't need to drill in Alaska. We can continue to buy from the Arabs of the middle east, the communist down in Venezuela, etc. We can continue to PAY THE TERRORIST STATES TO PAY TERRORISTS TO BLOW US UP AND KILL US. Protect a whale, an owl, a caribou, blow up an American. Seems reasonable to me. Why the hell not? Sarcasm still on and lava hot.
