I can honestly say that I cast my first vote for
Nixon in '72 and for an R on the ballots of every presidential and state general election since then.

It wasn't always pretty when Ds won but somehow we have managed to survive and live to fight another day.

Absolutely Correct. From the sound of some on this thread
they voted third party, but what the heck they voted
their principle and gave us Carter and Clinton.
