TBILISI, November 8 (RIA Novosti) - Representatives of the Council for Drug Policy under the Georgian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare said marijuana might be legalized in the country.

"Introducing such amendments to the country's legislation will reduce the number of drug-related crimes," council chairperson Tamara Sirbiladze told Novosti-Georgia.

Proposals to legalize the use of marijuana will be discussed in the near future at a special conference arranged by the council's press club

Georiga is on the up and up. Check this out from this article
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1359033/posts?page=1

"I asked Georgia’s President Saakashvili, a burly 38-year-old who until a few years ago was a New York lawyer, whether he had found time to deal with fiscal problems, among all the others besetting his turbulent republic. “Sure, I’ve already lowered taxes five times. We’re at 12% now. For everyone.” So you are doing away with funding a welfare system? “Welfare? What welfare?”"

So the Russian socialists want to be legal potheads too. Some people actually follow the George Soros line of "thinking". Oh well.

I'm no fan of amending Article II of the Constitution, but if a foreigner were to become U.S. President I think I'd take this guy over Arnold any day :-)

Yeah, but you know how these Soros-funded clowns lie. I bet his whole corrupt state knows it's really Soros that bankrolled that tax break, and that Soros is getting them all stoned and making out with their women, and Soros is...[goes off into endless anti-Soros rant]...and so that's why I think I'll be voting for Ralph Reed for Georgia's next Lieutenant Governor!!

[/channeling Soros hating crowd]

I don't like the guy, but geez, is EVERYTHING the governments he's worked to prop up do just evil by association? I bet that 12% tax rate shows signs the AntiChrist is at work in Georgia, too. Sheesh.

yea, I actually think Soros is a force for good in much of the world in developing nations and tyrannized nations.

The focus on freedom and liberty, democracy and a free press seem to be the focus of many of these organizations and that is a good thing. Of course, a message of socialism would be unfortunate, but that seems to be mainly his focus here in the US, hopefully not as much in other places.

It is my understanding that Soros organizations and the US state department worked together on Ukraine, Georgia, and a number of other ex soviet republics.

I agree, its best to focus on ideas, not personalities.

What he fails to mention is that in the past year food prices have quite literly doubled and manufactured goods are three to four times as expensive. He also fails to mention that the average salary has stayed at $50 and that just like Mexico, the Georgian fiscal budget (that part that isn't supported by the US taxpayer...and about a third is) is supported by the 1 in 5 Georgians who now has Russian citizenship and sends money back to his family/clan. Oooops, now how did he forget all that?

These aren't Russians, the Georgians are backed by Soros, the EU and to some extent us. Saakashvili was a NYC lawyer.

Just keep in mind that this guy in one year killed 7 independent media sources (including the Times of Georgia), his second (and father of his revolution) died under extremely suspect circumstances (and the government is being sued by the guy's brother for murder), that he has tried to start a war with Russia 3 times (which his second calmed down until his untimely death from carbon monoxide poisoning...funny when two grown sombor men, neither asleep, die of monoxide poisoning in an apartment...most people open a window first....oh and the VP's body guards conviniently forgot to check in with him for 3 hours....hmmm). His economy is based on 1 in 5 Georgians holding Russian citizenship and sending money back.

His opposition (which he has numerously tried to ban and flat out said in an interview that parties not loyal to him had no right to operate in Georgia) include the Conservatives, the New Conservatives and the Republican parties.

Becareful what you wish for. We also support (read as pay) for his military and the new roads and police cars and other such largeness on our parts. This is just like the EU (whom he wishes to join) not needing to pay for defense (while spitting in our eye) while we pay for it all.

The man admitted that he and his entire government drew their pay directly from Soros' Open Society their first year. Sure would make a "great" president. Another NYC lawyer...sure he's campeign for Hitlery too while he's at it. Another Soros stooge.

If you actually believe this, you need to clue in to reality.

By the way, in actual Russia, Soros' offices have been closed down for failure to pay taxes (surprise) and there is a warrent out for his arrest. Do you ever wonder why Putin is one of the three leaders Soros is working to remove? The others are Bush and Berlusconi.

They just overthrew their government last year. I didn't say Georgia was a perfect country, just that it seems that they're going in the right direction.

If Soros runs georgia then why did he accept a flat tax rate and all of these welfare reductions?

Or was that just rhetoric?

Do you have any sources on all that info? I'd be interested to read it. But if the guy is acting like a dictator then why would Soros support him?

You say he has tried to start a war with Russia. This is BS. Russia has troops in his country against the wishes of the people of that country!!!!

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,15237761-23109,00.html

"Saakashvili, [Georgian President] a 37-year-old U.S.-educated lawyer who speaks fluent English, boycotted the Moscow festivities because the Kremlin refused to bow to his demands for the immediate closure of two Russian military bases on Georgian soil. Moscow has about 3,000 troops in the Soviet-era bases, which Saakashvili has likened to an occupation of his country. The United States has dozens of military trainers in Georgia."

>>>>>yea, I actually think Soros is a force for good in much of the world in developing nations and tyrannized nations.<<<<

I will not discuss politics, cover-ops, narcotics trade, gun running and insider trading, subjects closely linked to Soros and his organizations. Let's stick to medicine, the topic you are familiar with.

You should be familiar with the relationship of GDP and life expectancy, infant death rate and other quality of life parameters. Owing to Soros' attack on Thai and Malaysian currencies, currencies collapsed and billions were erased from the books. Economies never recovered. Perhaps you could search the drop of Thai GDP and calculate how many Thais died because of direct and deliberate Soros actions and then reassess your claim.

"Soros is force of good". Sure, Hitler built Porches for working class and highways without speed limit. And toxic sludge is good for your health, too. This is a good starting point

Soros himself is only vehicle and cover for causing death and misery in the very region you mention. If you want to learn more, search FR posts under keywords SOROS and QUANTUMFUND.
