Discuss the results of the Virginia election as results come in. The governor's race is especially important, but there are also races for Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General. Also, there are significant House of Delegates races
Virginia Election Results in Real Time
I know nothing recently on Virginia politics. Does Kilgore have a half decent chance?
I messaged drudge, he reversed it.
Drudge flipped the results apparently. The official site has Kaine ahead.
This is bad. It looks as though Kaine will win- probably 51-49- unfotunately. The news looks better for Lt. Gov. and AG- generally running 2-3 percent ahead of Kilgore's vote.
It looks like Drudge has his numbers reversed.
Do the early tallies get a disproportionate slug from the cities and Fairfax County?
I grew up in Virginia, but haven't lived there for umpteen years. I can tell you that Northern Virginia is comparable to New York city and the the rest of their respective states. Huge, liberal population center versus smaller more conservative population centers that cover most of the state's land mass.
I haven't really seen the county data. But little I have heard suggests this is over. Is that your take?
Kilgore pissed it away
if you consider losing in leftist states getting kicked in the balls.
yep just saw that. Thanks.
Probably, but I don't know the pattern of Virginia vote counting. If it includes all the absentees, then yes, it should be over. If not, then probably, but I don't know.
I live in Va. There is no official breakout of where the votes are coming from, but I would make a GUESS that early results are from lower population areas which tend to be more Republican.
On the other hand, in Northern Virginia, which has a very high population density and tends Democratic, they have electronic voting machines in most (maybe all) precincts. It seems that it ought to be quick to tabulate and verify electronically counted votes.
I wasn't aware Virginia was 'leftist.' And Jersey is democratic/populist, not leftist.
Cali is leftist. See how that works out.
GOPers always blame it on the candidate. We just can't face up to the fact that the lefties are gaining ground on us. It's about time we dealt with reality. Hillary isn't going to be easy to beat. We better be ready for her.
tradesports has been extremely erratic. But right now they have Kaine as a really, really big favorite.
Richmond and Trenton sure fooled me!
That's because he is. :)
Thanks to all of you. Guess we will just have to keep watching.
